We'll be talking mayors, chiefs-of staff, too much trash-talk, too little issues-talk.
Greetings!
I will be a guest on Eight Forty-Eight, the WBEZ (NPR affiliate) morning show, at 9am CST this morning, talking about the latest in the Chicago mayoral race.
Those of you from out-of-town may have missed some of this week's Chicago mayoral-race shenanigans.
Suffice to say, things are getting hot, now that the race has boiled-down (or is it up), among the major candidates, to the candidate archetypes: An African American, former U.S. Senator Carol Moseley-Braun; an Hispanic, former Mayor Daley Chief-of-Staff Gery Chico; and a white, Rahm Emanuel, yet another big-time chief-of-staff.
Speaking of same, chiefs-of-staff, that is, I'm guessing we might also talk about Bill Daley's new chief-of-staff gig and what that might mean for the next mayor of Chicago.
I hope you will take-a-listen; share your thoughts about the race with me; and, most of all, get involved, if you're so disposed. For this chapter of Chicago history should be written by as many of us as possible.
