I wrote a new piece late last week in my series for The Huffington Post about Chicago's 2011 mayoral contest.
"Mayor Daley is Right: Being Mayor of Chicago is the Best Job in the World,"may be found at this link, or (still and now), a scroll-down on the front page of the Chicago edition. I've said it before. I'll say it again: This mayoral contest is both a laugh riot and very serious business.
For proof of this contention, just read today's Chicago Sun-Times for the latest in the Carol Moseley-Braun mayoral campaign and today's Chicago Tribune for the Bridget Gainer late-Thursday-night announcement that she's left the field; (forgive me; it is, after all, World Series season).
In my latest piece, alternately-titled: Lisa Madigan Sits Down in Mayor Daley's Chair: Maybe Fantasy, Maybe Not, I write about a game-plan for Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan as Mayor of Chicago.
Though the Attorney General told WBEZ's Alison Cuddy she isn't running, as I point-out, first the President wasn't running, and then he was.
[There is still plenty-of-time for a winning woman candidate to enter the mayoral race.]
So, "stay tuned." This world series won't be over anytime soon. Rebecca
P.S. And, just-in-case you still haven't had enough, for extra playoff innings,
