EntrePaducah hosts Global Entrepreneurship Week
Mark Your Calendars! You don't want to miss this! Get ready for November 15-19, when Global Entrepreneurship Week will sweep through Paducah. As a partner of the global movement, EntrePaducah will host daily activities with youth, emerging entrepreneurs and established business owners. The week will kick off with a focus on entrepreneurial education in the school system and end with a large celebration at the Commerce Center highlighting Paducah's growing entrepreneurial spirit. Look out for more details in the coming months. |

Cyber Security Seminar at Chamber Trade Show
October 21 starting at 12:30pm, EntrePaducah will host Special Agent Joseph Ranieri from the Louisville Division of the FBI. The event will precede the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Buy Local Trade Show in the Adams Room of the Paducah Expo Center.

Hotel Founder/Entrepreneur Delivers Keynote for November Chamber Breakfast
Entrepreneurism is the theme of November's Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Power in Partnership breakfast meeting Thursday, November 4th. EntrePaducah has the honor of hosting the annual Chamber breakfast devoted entirely to entrepreneurial activities. The Chamber breakfast starts at 7:30 AM at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center in downtown Paducah. Western Baptist Hospital is the sponsor of November's Chamber breakfast. Tickets are available through the Chamber office at 270-443-1746. Entrepreneur 101 Set for Nov. 22nd
Learn the basics of starting a business in Paducah/McCracken County. EntrePaducah and Murray State University's Small Business Development Center sponsor the event which runs from 6:00-8:30 PM at the Commerce Center, 4th and Kentucky, in downtown Paducah. Chris Wooldridge of the SBDC covers business plan writing, understanding cash flow and cash management, marketing basics and assessment of your entrepreneurial skills. The sessions are free, but reservations are required by November 17th by calling 270-443-1746, or by email at info1@entrepaducah.com.

As co-founder and principal of Midas Hospitality, David serves as the Development Director. He has over 25 years of hospitality experience and has previously held management positions with Intercontinental Hotel Group, Impac Hotels, MidAmerica Hotels and Hospitality Management Associates Hotels.
Prior to forming Midas Hospitality, David was the Director of Operations with HMA Hotels for over six years, he was a key reason the company grew from three hotels to thirteen. During that period he increased revenue from $8 million in sales to over $30 million. Mr. Robert helped implement aggressive marketing strategies, cost saving techniques and managed multimillion dollar hotel capital projects including several new Holiday Inn projects and numerous hotel refurbishments. He led the company to its first Torchbearer Award from Intercontinental Hotel Group, given to the top 20 properties in the entire country. David provided critical due diligence, managed, built out and operated five franchised restaurants located inside the hotel properties (Houlihans, Pasta House, Kriegers Pub & Grill and Malone' s).
With David' s guidance, Midas Hospitality has developed, built, opened and ramped up numerous properties in the last four years including Hampton Inn, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, and Fairfield Inn & Suites. He manages the pre-opening process for all of Midas' new projects. Through acquisition and development, Midas Hospitality has grown to 11 hotels in just over four years.
David serves on the Board of Commissioners for the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission which is responsible for the hotel marketing of the greater St. Louis area and manages America' s Center Convention facility and the Edward Jones Dome, home of the St. Louis Rams. David is the President of the South County Economic Development Corporation which is a non-profit organization promoting new business development in the St. Louis South County area. He also is the Past President of the St. Louis South County Chamber of Commerce. |
