 Hi,

What's holding you back?  Why don't you have what you want? Why is your career progress stalled?

Why are you stuck?

The answer to these types of questions can be summed up in one simple (and powerful)  phrase:

Opinions Un-tethered to Facts (OUF's)

OUF's are not to be mistaken for external, fact-based challenges that comprise what I would consider to be the  environmental conditions which we all face.

Instead, the true stumbling blocks that ofen trip us up (the OUF's) tend to reveal themselves in the form of
personal objections, fears, concerns, or push backs -
none of which are based in fact.

OUF's are the result of assumptions, interpretations, limiting beliefs, and our own personal inner critics that bring us to a point of inertia.

Well phrased questions have immense power in breaking through OUF's by accomplishig the following:

a) They reveal fact-less opinions
and/or
b) The reveal facts that revise opinions

For every answer you give to the above questions, try to apply two or more of these next questions to see if there's some OUF's that are blocking you from moving you forward:

Says who? Where is it written? How do you know that to be scientifically proven? On what factual basis are you drawing that conclusion? What level of research have you done to accept that hypothesis? What indisputable, factual data do you have that supports that position?

Make sure that your opinions are ALWAYS
tethered to FACTS...that way, they
remain environmental conditions to manage,
versus roadblocks that limit our success.

Thanks for sharing your Second Cup with me,

Mike
