 Kitsap County Reads Together

One Book Logo
October is the month designated for KRL's One Book, One Community program. Our book this year is Cannery Row by Nobel Prize-winning American novelist, John Steinbeck. KRL's  programs this month revolve around the novel, Steinbeck's works, and the spirit of the time.

Of special note, the Island Theatre will be performing A John Steinbeck Evening with dramatic readings from Steinbeck's plays, novels and speeches.

Nationally known Steinbeck Scholar Michael K. Hemp is lending his expertise to help us better understand the atmosphere and context of Cannery Row.

Films made from many of John Steinbeck's works will be shown free of charge at Kitsap Regional Library as part of One Book One Community.

Help make Kitsap Regional Library Better

Light BulbAt KRL, we are looking for ways to serve you better. We want to know how you use the library and what kinds of library programs you'd like to see us develop.

You can help us understand your expectations for the library by taking our online survey.

Responding to the survey questions is a great way to participate in the development of our new strategic plan.

We are especially encouraging families with school-aged children and military families to participate in the survey. People from those groups are underrepresented in the survey responses we've received so far.
