We'll resume activities back at ABVI where KHQA's Chris Duerr will be on hand to tell us about Do or Die Bowl VII which will be played this Friday, June 29th, at Flynn Stadium. The annual bowl is of course a high school all-star football game between young men from the West (MO & IA) and the East (IL). Chris is passionate about this event and is always entertaining so leave your worries at your worksite or home and join us for a good time at Quincy's Finest Hour! |

A nice road trip to beautiful Spring Lake Country Club. After a fine meal, we were treated to an abbreviated golf lesson from SLCC Golf Pro Matt Schuerman. Matt spoke about being "repeatable as possible" with your swing. Matt offered six steps to a better swing while Fred Lauder served as his prize student. After the brief presentation, about a dozen and a half men hit the course while the rest of us headed home or back to work. Jared Haugh coordinating the event. Good stuff! |

Jared Haugh with the good prayer and Kelly Stupasky leading the pledge. By the way, congratulations on the new job, Kelly... Another nice crowd on hand - especially for a road trip which sometimes see a few less attendees... First Vice President Perry Terwelp sitting in for an absent President Steve Green... VP Perry thanking those Exchangites who attended his budget meeting and informing the rest that dues are unfortunately going up $10 per quarter. Annual dues are now $480... Hats off to the men who represented our club at the Lincolnland District Golf Outing. The team of Gary Peters, Mike McLaughlin, Skip Rueter, and Len Biallas won the tournament. Lenny also won an individual prize for longest drive while Brian Koch took home the prize for longest putt. Good job, men... Zeke Cernea had the right 50/50 ticket but picked the wrong card (nine of hearts) so the pot grows. We have 19 cards remaining and the pot will certainly be over $1,500 this week... Please note the Slate of Officers for the upcoming year... Don't forget about the Quincy Gems game vs. the Wounded Warriors on July 2nd. Need to be there at 5:30 p.m. to help with the flag... That's all for now, 'til next time, may God's love, grace, and peace be with you and the ones you love. |
