Greetings!
We hope you had a safe and happy Halloween! October was a fun and busy month! We saw many great costumes of both the human and canine variety at the fundraising events HSTJ participated in, including the Canine Carnival in Ocean Beach on 10/25 and of course the infamous Yappy Hour at La Jolla Brewhouse on 10/27. Thank you to all who came out to support the cause. (click the above links for some great photos)
On October 11th HSTJ treated 124 animals at the Itchy Scratchy clinic in Playas de Tijuana. Then on October 18th, HSTJ held a Sterilization Clinic, also in Playas, at the Universidad Iboamericana. What a busy clinic! 58 Animals were spayed and nuetered - 37 dogs and 21 cats, a huge success!
That is a total of 182 animals treated for the month of October!
A big THANK YOU goes out not only to the volunteers who worked so hard to make the clinics a success, but to YOU, the friends of HSTJ, whom without, none of this would be possible!

And last but not least, Project Beatrice was made a reality! Thanks to the hard work of all of the people involved and all of your wonderful and generous donations, the house was completed and the family was provided with an abundance of food, linens and home essentials. HSTJ continues to provide food and medical care to every one of the dogs rescued by the family and we are working to place some of them in forever homes here in San Diego.
