Tariff-Funded Citrus Research Bill Passes 1 Senate Hurdle 

Legislation to obtain up to $30 million a year in federal citrus research funding for HLB and other serious problems cleared a major hurdle Wednesday with passage by the Senate Finance Committee. CHMAs Working for Florida Growers

The Citrus Health Management Areas (CHMAs) that growers use to coordinate sprays for HLB-spreading psyllids are working very well, says the state's top agricultural pest fighter. Greg Carlton, chief of the agriculture department's Bureau of Pest Eradication and Control, tells how many CHMAs there are and gives a broad overview of their results.
