Alexander Explains Changes to Florida Citrus Commission

State Sen. J.D. Alexander explains why he introduced a bill, now law, that makes major changes to the Florida Citrus Commission and the Florida Department of Citrus (FDOC). Changes include capping citrus taxes, reapportioning citrus districts, ending current commissioners' terms June 30, and limiting the term of the FDOC executive director. Listen to the report.

The Florida Department of Citrus will at least temporarily continue to function under the leadership of Ken Keck. The Florida Citrus Commission Wednesday named Keck acting executive director. Legislative changes this spring ended Keck's tenure as well as that of the current Citrus Commission effective June 30. Learn more.
