Citrus Forecast: 138 Million-Box Florida Orange Crop

The Feb. 9 Florida citrus crop forecast, eagerly awaited because it was expected to give a good indication of December freeze losses, trimmed only two million more boxes from the projected Florida orange crop. University of Florida horticulturist Tim Spann was among those providing updates on foliar nutrition programs and HLB at the recent international HLB conference in Orlando. In these reports, Spann tells how well HLB-infected groves have performed when treated with nutritionals, and says there's nothing to prove nutritionals won't maintain productivity indefinitely.
