Community Kitchen
Community Kitchen thanks everyone who has given donations this summer to help feed the poor in our neighborhood through the meals that we serve on Monday and Thursday evenings. We have also appreciated those of you who are stepping up to volunteer. Thank you.
Community Kitchen feeds an average of 110 people a week through the meals they serve. As you can imagine, this requires a lot of food. Recently, an organization decided to donate fresh fruits and vegetables which has been wonderful. The only limitation at this point is that the kitchen doesn't have enough refrigerator space nor freezer space to store all the donated food. We have secured two refrigerators and a freezer for an amazing price of $1150. Would you consider giving a financial gift to help with the purchase? If you want to give a financial gift, you can donate online by using the following link, noting that the gift is for Community Kitchen Fridge and Freezer. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.

Tech-TamonialHello Edgers! My name is Philip and I volunteer on the tech team, serving with you all from the sound board. Just a couple words to let you all know how great it is to serve on the tech team. When I realized that my talents could be used to serve our God, I jumped at the occasion. To me, it is one of the ways I communicate with Him. Before every worship gathering, I ask God to use my talent to make sure the message can be communicated from the artists or the minister to you. Come by and say hi! Philip ParenteauVolunteer Sound Technician (Front of House & Live Stream)

Leadership Changes for our 2011-2012 Gospel Choir season Carol Bernard has resigned as the River's Edge Gospel Choir Director. This is a significant loss for River's Edge Community Church and our Gospel Choir. We are sorry to see Carol step out of this role, but are thankful and rejoice for the years of service and impact both she and Ted have made. We pray God's blessing for Carol and Ted as they make this significant shift. Our Gospel Choir continues to be of importance to our community of faith and a significant part of the Worship and Arts Outreach at River's Edge. We look forward with anticipation to the Fall launch of the 2011-2012 season starting Thursday, September 29. I'm pleased to inform you that Ruben Shaym Brutus will be our new Gospel Choir Director! I'm excited to have Ruben a part of the Worship Arts and Production team. I believe that his contribution and leadership to the River's Edge Gospel Choir will assure us of a great year!
