Behind the Mapper: Red Hen Systems Follows the Future
The new invention of MediaMapper Mobile takes mobile communication to the next level. It's no surprise that years of research and development went into this comprehensive app that effectively combines GPS tags and mobile technology.
Red Hen Systems has always been on the forefront of expanding mobile technologies. Back in 2004, the company combined Nokia N95 mobile phones with GPS tracking known as the Symbian system. This allowed for multiple devices to keep track of each other using satellite coordinates. Cameras in the phones were enabled to e-mail geotagged photos to external servers. Technological advances soon rendered the system obsolete, so developers turned to Google Android devices.
"Android's arrival quickly abolished Nokia's artificially high cost of entry barriers due to their imposition of expensive code signing certificates," said developer Gary Silva. "Android opened up and quickly advanced the state of the art by packing in a variety of additional sensors such as 3D compass, accelerometer, magnetometer as well as other capabilities such as tight integration with Google Maps and Google StreetView services."

It took more than five years for this professional software to become available to the public and private sectors due to the quality and wide range of capabilities within the app. The talented team packed Bluetooth and external device detection, audio capture, mission organization and much more into an affordable app that takes little to no prior training.
What came of the years of innovation is a more affordable package for emergency management, municipal work, defense and others to take advantage of mobile technology and popular mapping software that streamlines the process of capturing GPS capable data in real time.
"MediaMapper Mobile can be readily used in a variety of in the field situations as well as in adhoc and impromptu circumstances where you are not engaged in a pre-planned mission, but just happen to be carrying a MediaMapper Mobile device to capture and document events as they unfold," Silva said.
Field experts have already begun experimenting with the new mobile app to test its power and usefulness. So far there is a great air of excitement about the possibilities that MediaMapper Mobile brings to on-the-ground first respondents, construction managers, defense experts and even hiking enthusiasts.
And it does not end here. Enhancements are expected in the future to give people and businesses a more customized experience.
So stay tuned for the next stages and take advantage of the affordable, high quality software in the palm of your hand!
