U.K. Guardian (Sept. 27, 2010) The United Nations is set to act as earth's first contact with aliens. They are appointing Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, to head its Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). She will set out the details of her proposed new role at a Royal Society conference in Buckinghamshire next week.
Well, I bet that's a load off your mind. I was wondering when they were going to get around to this. Now they can focus on less important things like the 30,000 kids who starve to death each night from lack of food and clean water, and other things.
Concerning the UFO-Space Aliens-Religion thing though, you ought to think about it at least once in your life. One day there might be an official announcement, "They are here", referring to aliens from outer space. But, are they really? An alien might be shown. But is it real? It could then be proclaimed...
"All governments of the world must unite as one, to face this threat to Earth's existence." But is this a real danger, or a plot for one world government under the Anti-Christ?
What if aliens are proven to be real? Is that going to shake your faith? Unbelieving scientists will use the opportunity to say that humans aren't special beings created by God. Others will have many convincing arguments attempting to crack the foundation of your faith in God and the Scriptures.
But here is the liberating truth...Our faith does not (should not) rest upon anything outward, but rather the inward revelation of Jesus Christ that we have received from the Father. (Matthew 16:15-17)
What if there are aliens? What if the mountains go crashing into the sea?! (Psalms 46:1-3) What if there is a storm and Jesus is sleeping?! (Mark 4:35-41) What if?
Allow me to let you in on a little secret...You are the alien! Let the world worry about you!
All these people were still living by faith when
they died...and they admitted that they were aliens
and strangers on earth.
(Hebrews 11:13) NIV
