What's a Bake-Off?

Each year, Richard sponsors a bake-off as an excuse for a December party. This is how it goes: our community of students bake something--sweet or savory--to enter into the contest. On the day of the contest,
we choose five people to be judges who are present but have not made anything to enter into the contest (freeloaders). The judges take a sample of everything and are sequestered until they come up with three winners.

• 1st prize: one free class
• 2nd prize: 50% off one class
• 3rd prize: 25% off one class

In the spirit of the season, the prizes my be given as a gift to someone else.
 
This year the bake-off will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 13. The bake-off will end after everything is consumed.
 
Anyone who has taken a class with Richard over the past 40 years is eligible to enter.
