For preschool & incoming kindergarten kids

Faculty 09-10For new or returning Preschool and incoming Kindergarten students, ages 3-5. Children must be potty-independent.
Join us this summer at Oak Grove School, where summer is filled with choices, laughter and creativity. Bring your children to our beautiful wooded campus where they will play indoors and out, exploring sand and water, exercising their bodies and minds. They will choose from many fun and enriching activities, stretching their imaginations and making new friends in our safe, caring environment. Social skills are developed through peer interaction, while peaceful methods of conflict resolution are modeled and supported.
Peace Camp runs weekdays from 9:00am to 12:00noon.

All about the Ocean
beachThe week of June 14 - 18 is all about the ocean.  We will have two excursions to the beach (Tuesday and Thursday) where we will swim, play in the sand, fly our handmade kites (hopefully!), explore tide pools and collect treasures to use in our projects.

Outdoor Adventures

Ages: 12-15
Oak Grove School
is bringing back its popular summer expeditions.  Join us as we explore the grandeur of the Central California Coast and the majesty of the High Sierras. Campers will acquire the essential outdoor skills that are prerequisites for a lifelong relationship with nature.
 
Morro Bay State Park

We will leave Oak Grove School Monday,June 21st and return Friday, June 25th
Activities: Hiking, cooking, boogie boarding/ surfing, kayaking, games, geocaching, journalling, and community service/restoration projects.

SAT - Preparation with Elizabeth White
for High-School Students

Session I:
June 21 - 25  9am to 3pm (bring a lunch)
 
Session II:
August 16 - 20 9am to 3pm (bring a lunch)
 
The students do 4 days of intensive prep, then sit a full practice exam on the last day which is graded and notated and returned to them the next week by the instructor.

Elizabeth Whitehas been a well known private tutor and SAT-prep instructor for over 10 years.
 
Cost for each session is $400

Ventura Wild is offering three week-long summer camp adventures in our local wilderness. Every day we travel to a different local wild destination for explorations, swimming, hands-on creating and investigations and so much more! With a ratio of 1:4, experienced leaders bring children into nature as a way to rekindle a deep sense of belonging and awareness of life and living on planet earth. We provide space and time for each child's unique gifts and interests to blossom through shared exploration, inquiry based learning, skill development and stories. We work to raise confidence, awareness and build connections that will last a lifetime.

Experience the joy and challenge of being in a band. every day we explore the art of Rock 'n Roll in a instructional/jam session.

Students must have basic proficiency on an instrument (vocalists are welcome) and be willing to work and play with other musicians, discover the creative and technical foundations of Rock and have fun!

Ages 10 and up
In this Play-Well LEGOŽ Animation - class, you will learn how to bring your LEGOŽ creations to life! Create skits and plots, learn how to make storyboards to plan scenes, build intricate Lego sets and characters from tens of thousands of LEGOŽ pieces, photograph using digital cameras and homemade LEGOŽ tripods, and learn how to animate and edit footage on computers (also adding voices and sound effects)! At the end of class, students receive animations either on DVD or through internet sharing! Camp Limit - 15 students

Have your child become a Play Well engineer!  With access to over 50,000 pieces of LEGOŽ, create, play, and tackle challenges that explore the fundamentals of engineering, all while having fun learning.  Build cities, bridges, and motorized cars/planes. Your child will have the opportunity to build what they have only dreamed of with the support of an experienced Play Well engineering instructor to guide them.
Camp Limit - 24 students, minimum 12
