In an effort to boost the local economy in a slower month and liven up the month of June,
The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce, The Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association and The Crested Butte News are pleased to announce the First Annual Crested Butte Restaurant Week! 
 
The dates for Crested Butte Restaurant Week are Friday, June 11th-Friday, June 18th. 
 
All participating restaurants in Crested Butte Restaurant Week will offer a multi-course dinner for the price of $88.85 (Crested Butte's elevation!) for a party of four (or $22.21 per person) not including tax and gratuity. Participants will offer several courses, some may offer several choices, and some may offer wine or other drinks included in the fixed price. Restaurants will also offer their regular, a la carte menu. Dining establishments that do not offer dinner, will offer a multi-course lunch deal for $8.85. Participating lodging companies willbe offering deals for $88.85 per bedroom, per night.

and will be consistently updated with new information! We'll be sending new information via eBlast as well!

ORECalling all Green Businesses!  The Office for Resource Efficiency is partnering Think Local First to bring the new Green Business Directory to the Gunnison Valley.  
 
The Directory is intended to highlight businesses that incorporate a focus on the local economy, and sustainability or energy efficiency in their business practices or products offered.   
 
Listing in the Directory is free!  If your business fits this description, please send a brief description (25 words or less) about why your business is "green", along with contact information, to ORE. Please contact ORE at 970-349-9673 or directory@resourceefficiency.org for details.

 
SBA loan breaks extended through April 30
 
Congress has extended breaks on U.S. Small Business Administration loans for another month, making the loans less risky for lenders and more affordable for borrowers.
Through April 30, the SBA will guarantee 90 percent of the amount of its flagship 7(a) loans, and reduce or eliminate fees on 7(a) loans and 504 loans. These breaks were initially funded by $375 million in the economic stimulus bill, and now have been extended three times.

Gunnison Valley Leadership Program presents the Salon Series Conversations to bring together the Gunnison Valley community for conversation and understanding. The Conversation is a round-table public discussion about numerous topics that affect us in the Gunnison Valley. Get first-hand accounts from fellow business owners, practitioners, and organizations. Bring your own knowledge to the table or bring a desire to learn more.
 
The Conversation was created by the 2010 Gunnison Valley Leadership Program class and utilizes transparent and trust-building strategies to engage in open and informative conversations between residents of the Gunnison Valley.
