You're Invited to the Think Local First Community Round Table
When: Tuesday, March 2nd. 8-10 a.m.
Where: Timberline Restaurant
The TLF Committee invites you to participate in a working breakfast discussion. We'll discuss ways that other communities are weathering the economic storm by providing tax breaks and incentives to locally owned businesses. We'll talk about how we can encourage the sourcing of local bids and employment of local people. And we'll explore how to keep Crested Butte unique by highlighting local businesses, products and services.

The Crested Butte Farmers Market is launching a new Eat Local Guide to Crested Butte. The full-color, glossy magazine will focus on sustainable agriculture and local foods with feature articles, farm, ranch and restaurant profiles. Net proceeds of the advertising sales will go to benefit the market's WIC program which provides WIC-recipients residing in the north end of the valley with vouchers redeemable for fresh foods at the Crested Butte Farmers Market. CBMR Local Referral Program
Crested Butte Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the Group Referral Reward Program, which pays rewards for any groups, meetings or events you bring or recommend which visits our resort.
As a referring party you will qualify for a monetary reward equal to 4% of the group's lodging revenue, payable upon the departure of their trip to Crested Butte. If you would prefer to consider other reward options, such as Ski Lessons or Food & Beverage vouchers, we are able to accommodate you. In the case where you bring a group, you may apply the award towards the master bill.

Join us for an endurance ski event benefiting the Adaptive Sports Center and the Crested Butte Ski Club this Saturday! 7 Hours of the Banana is a lift-accessed endurance-style event on Crested Butte Mountain Resort's "Banana," one of the mountain's most extreme runs. The Tropical Obstacle is a just-for-fun, challenge-obstacle ski course which will be open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Buckley (accessed from the West Wall lift). Ninth Annual Sam Boyd/Mountaineer Athletic Association Crab Feed, Auction Dinner and Casino Night, presented by Varra Companies and United Companies. The annual event will be Saturday, March 27 at the Fred Field Western Heritage Center in Gunnison. Tickets are $40 and include a meal of fresh Dungeness crab prepared by Wayne Brown.
