| |

Do you happen to be in the market for new furniture or a mattress? Colony House Furniture in Chambersburg has given CVSM some very special game cards that we in turn are offering to our students, faculty & supporters. Here's how the game cards work: ► You take a card with you when you purchase furniture of at least $999 at Colony House Furniture. ► Before paying for your purchase, present the game card to the store manager, who will have you erase one of the circles on the game card - revealing winnings of either $50, $100, or $1000 off your furniture purchase - AND - CVSM will receive a check in the same amount as a donation! Every card is a winner of at least $50 or more! It's a win-win situation! So if you are interested in purchasing items at Colony House Furniture (4231 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg) give us a call at (717) 261-1220 and we'll get you one of the special game cards right away! And thanks to Colony House Furniture for providing us this innovative way of generating support for CVSM!

CVSM Musicale Series 2009/2010 To Begin |
The Cumberland Valley School of Music will present a special series of musicales this year, each featuring a beautiful setting, good food, excellent company, and exceptional musical performances. Rooted in the European custom of Salon or Chamber concerts, the CVSM musicales feature gatherings of a small number of musicians performing together in private homes. They promote an intimacy for both performer and listener that is not available in a larger concert hall setting. Tickets can be purchased for individual musicales, or at a discount for the entire series.
The first Musicale of the 2009/2010 series is "Stages of Love" - the story of a relationship told through Broadway songs, featuring CVSM alumni Lindsey Shoap and Colin Mew, both currently living in New York City. CVSM faculty, Brian Helman, will accompany the pair on piano. This musicale is being hosted by Pat & Richard Shoap and the Shoap Law Office on Sunday, September 27th at 3PM at the Woods Center, Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St. in Chambersburg.
Other musicales in the series will include: "Christmas at Coldbrook Farm," hosted by Bob and Cindy Richards in Chambersburg; "Songs of Stephen Foster & More," hosted by Zach and Marissa Burt in Greencastle; and one or possibly two more being planned as we speak! Watch the CVSM website and your mailbox in the next couple of weeks for complete information about the series, including dates, tickets costs and musical performers!
This looks to be an exciting Festival of Musicale season!
