CVSM Musicale Series 2009/2010 Begins |
|

The Cumberland Valley School of Music will present a special series of musicales this year, each featuring a beautiful setting, good food, excellent company, and exceptional musical performances. Rooted in the European custom of Salon or Chamber concerts, the CVSM musicales feature gatherings of a small number of musicians performing together in private homes. They promote an intimacy for both performer and listener that is not available in a larger concert hall setting. Tickets can be purchased for individual musicales, or at a discount for the entire series.
The first Musicale of the 2009/2010 series is "Stages of Love" - the story of a relationship told through Broadway songs, featuring CVSM alumni Lindsey Shoap and Colin Mew, both currently living in New York City. CVSM faculty, Brian Helman, will accompany the pair on piano. This musicale is being hosted by Pat & Richard Shoap and the Shoap Law Office on Sunday, September 27th at 3PM at the Woods Center, Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St. in Chambersburg.
