 CVSM sent annual appeal letters to our entire constituency last fall asking for financial support from our students and their families, performance attendees, volunteers, faculty and local music lovers. The response has been good but numbers and amounts are less than in previous years. We understand that the economy is challenging for everyone - and it is certainly challenging for nonprofit organizations like CVSM who are cutting expenses and trying hard not to eliminate programs or raise prices.
If you have yet to make your annual gift to CVSM, please do so today! Our supporters are so important to the future of Cumberland Valley School of Music!
Imagine a world without music, without opportunities to learn music, or play music or hear music performed. It's hard to imagine such a world but you can do something about it. Support CVSM's Annual Fund!

A Sunday Afternoon of Great Music,
Fine Company and Delicious Food & Drink
McFarland at MacFarland on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 pm will feature singer-guitarist Tom McFarland and the CVSM Jazz Quartet at the magnificent home of Will MacFarland, 433 Clayton Ave.,Waynesboro, PA. This stately home was originally built in 1903 to 1905 by A.O. Frick, a co-founder of Frick Company, and is one of the grandest in Waynesboro, with beautiful views from large picture windows installed by the home's second owners. The musicale will feature the CVSM Jazz Quartet with Andrew Sussman (piano), Tim Gotwald (flute), Herm Hopple (bass), and Sam Hepfer  (drums). Special guest Tom McFarland is a well known artist, whose turtle sculptures are exhibited around the world. He has also performed extensively as a singer-guitarist since the 1960's, and is currently art teacher at St. Maria Goretti High School.
Tickets are $45 each and reservations can be made by contacting CVSM at (717) 261-1220.

Expanding Our Horizons
 To make ourselves more visible to our younger students and alumni, CVSM now has a Facebook page! In time it will have our schedule of events, photos, videos, E-news, and much more. It's agreat way to stay in touch with former students and faculty AND keep up to date with what's happening at the school! You must have a Facebook account to view the CVSM page (accounts are FREE). We hope you'll visit us soon and add comments, suggestions and photos to the mix.
