The Hammer: What Every Toolbox Needs
By Chris "Ho Ho" Hayes, Southeast Region Technical Sales Manager

Every toolbox needs a handful of essential tools - screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and a hammer. Albeit limited in use, it is essential when you need to whack something. Kind of like what a grower may need to do when pathogens and insects begin to reach their threshold.

BioWorks offers hammers...not in metal form, but in softer materials.

MilStop

MilStop® - An OMRI listed bicarbonate with a nice surfactant package that quickly dries up and shuts down pathogens on the foliage.
A 1-hour REI means you can spray and ship to the customer - why wait? MilStop dries quick and clean, leaving no residue. Within hours it physically kills Powdery Mildew, Botrytis and other types of foliar pathogens.

SuffOil-XSuffOil-X® - An OMRI listed emulsified oil that physically suffocates insects and pathogens.  Control of mites, whitefly, and sooty molds have been reported by researchers and growers. Yea, it is oil, and oils can burn, however; the purity and formulation of SuffOil-X is more forgiving when used as directed.
A low 4-hr REI means you can treat in the morning and ship in the afternoon if needed. BioWorks understands there is some reluctance about using oils. Let us work with you to explain how to best use SuffOil-X to reduce your concerns. Look at SuffOil-X as your M&M present to yourself (Mites and Mildew control).

So, if you're in need of a hammer for that "hard-to-buy for" pathogen or disease, think about MilStop and SuffOil-X for those last minute Christmas needs.

Merry Christmas 2010 to all, and to all a Great New Year 2011!
