Tell Us What You're Thinking

Have you had a massage from one of our therapists?  If so, we want to know about your experience.

Often, those of us in the office hear wonderful feed-back about our therapists from you, our clients.  We'd like to share those praises on our website and search engine listings so everyone can see how proud we are of the quality work our therapists provide.

You have several options for telling us about your experience, and giving your therapists the praise you feel they are due:
  • Email & Website
  •  Google Place Page:
    • If you have a Google account, log in and then visit our place page by clicking here.  Here you can add a review or mark reviews as helpful.
  • Yahoo!:
    • If you have a Yahoo! account, log in and visit our Yahoo Place Page by clicking here.  Just like Google, you can add any reviews or mark other reviews helpful.
  • yelp*:
    • Like Google and Yahoo!,  you have to log into your yelp* account to create a review.  You can visit our yelp* page by clicking here.

We look forward to reading your comments!

Tell The World What You're Thinking

Casting Call for Video Testimonials
Perhaps you completed the Rolfing 10 Series and noticed significant and long-lasting, positive changes in your physical well-being.

Or you might be a member who finds the monthly appointments help you maintain your active lifestyle or better deal with the stress of work or travel.

Or maybe you came in for short-term, targeted work to deal with the acute flare up of a chronic issue and experienced real and long-lasting relief for the first time.

If you fit any of the character descriptions above and are brave enough to speak on camera, we would love to record your comments.   Video testimonials will be utilized alone or as part of informational videos about the specific therapies we offer and will be posted on Youtube and our website.

If you would be interested in participating in our video project please email Deb Ofsowitz at debo@balanceorlando.com for more details.

All About Assisted Stretching

Mimi
2009 Balance LogoWhat is Assisted Stretching?
Assisted Stretching, also known as partner stretching, is a type of stretching where another person, or partner, is used to help further stretch the muscles. The second person can apply additional force to deepen the stretch.

Can I Get Hurt?

Due to the greater force applied to the muscles this form of stretching can be slightly more hazardous. That is why it'simportant to consult a licensed massage or physical therapist trained in Assisted Stretching when you begin. If you do not have a trusted exercise partner, you can continue to work with your therapist to keep Assisted Stretching as part of your program.

How Does Assisted Stretching Differ From

Other Stretches?

In Static Stretching one places the body into a position that engages the stretch as they "relax into it," whereas Active Stretching requires the active use of other muscles to engage the stretch. With the additional force applied by the second person, Assisted Stretching allows for what cannot be obtained through self stretching: maximal resistance.

Why Assisted Stretching?

Shortened muscles become fragile and weak - adding unnecessary pressure on tendons and pulling bones out of their natural alignment. This can result in muscle, joint and back pain, as well as related injuries. One of the biggest benefits of regular stretching is to lengthen the muscles, thereby reducing the stress and pressure on the tendons and joints. Other benefits of stretching include:
  • Enhanced Muscular Coordination
  • Increased Circulation
  • Increased Energy
  • Increased Range of Motion
  • Reduced Muscle Tension

Assisted Stretching does more than just deepen the basic stretch. With a partner's assistance a greater number of muscles can be more effectively stretched and trained through all their planes of movement. Widening the range of motion and deepening the initial stretch both provide for more efficient results.

We offer assisted stretching in 30-minute sessions for $35 each session.  Call our office at 407-704-8867 for more information or to book your first session and discover how assisted stretching can help you.
