Did You Pass Your DMV Test?

Some of the most commonly missed questions on the DMV test involve when it is ok to cross double solid yellow lines. Traffic JamTwo solid yellow lines mean no passing. You may only drive to the left of these lines when:
  • Turning left at an intersection
  • Turning into or out of a private road or driveway
  • In a carpool lane that has a designated entrance on the left
  • Instructed to drive on the other side of the road because your side is closed or blocked

The California Driver handbook holds the answers to any of the common mistakes and every question that may show up on the written test. You can read the entire document online at www.dmv.ca.gov.  You can also find information on the DMV Web site related to the behind-the-wheel test. Use the DMV resources that are available to you and you will have greater success passing your written test the first time around.
