Greetings!

In this September News Edition we're ready for more chemistry! I got a write up on the Chemical & Engineering News CENBLOG  for organizing and participating in the tweetup at The American Chemical Society Fall National Meeting in Denver, CO. Read it here.

L to R: Joe Sabol, Jennifer Maclachlan, Marinda Wu, Dennis Chamot, John Piwinski at the Cactus Club, Denver Co. Wu and Chamot are Candidates for ACS President Elect.

As a member of the Small Chemical Businesses Division (SCHB) of the American Chemical Society I had the opportunity to meet the Candidates for 2012 President Elect of ACS at this excellent social event organized by Ed Huffman. Join SCHB on the new Linked-In Group.  Contact me for an invite to join this group or search Linked-In under groups under ACS Small Chemical Businesses and join.

National Chemistry Week kicks off for us at our International Year of Chemistry Q3 Cape Cod Science Cafe hosted by Cape Cod Beer: Sustainability, Chemistry and the Art of Craft Beer. Local folks, please join us and follow this link for the invite and RSVP.

More National Chemistry Week events that we will be participating in:1) Museum of Science Boston where the American Chemical Society President Elect Bassam Shakhashiri will deliver an inspiring lecture on the value of chemistry outreach in grades K-12 extending beyond to the public perception of chemistry.   2) Boston Children's Museum-Jack and I will be among the volunteers from the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society at both museums demonstrating fun hand-on-science activities for kids and their families.

See my blog post for details. If you are local to the Boston area or happen to be visiting, let me know so we can meet up with you at one of these exciting chemistry events.

Why choose our PID?

1) We introduced the original photoionizer in 1973 and celebrated this at the Chemistry of Industrial Hygiene Reception at AIHCE 2011.

2) Excellent choice for chloriniated hydrocarbons with the long-lifetime 11.7eV lamp. Read more

3) Easy calibration. Check out Jack's new calibration video on the Model 102+ which is a PID with additional sensors. See video here

4) Free software for our portable analyzers is a graphing and datalogging  extraction package. Read more

Our PID is available as a fixed continuous analyzer in a wall mount, rack mount or bench-top configuration ideal for carbon bed monitoring, leak detection, stacks and ambient air monitoring. For product brochure click here. Note that FID based 201 systems are also available.
