Strong Schools, Strong Communities update
The Board of Education received information regarding student performance by demographic group. The presentation reiterated that the District has pockets of excellence but only half of the students are proficient in reading and math. It also reiterated the predictable pattern of lower achievement for students:
  • Having a household income of less than $50,000 and
  • African American, American Indian or English Language Learner students
