Finance update
The Board approved authorization for SPPS to borrow up to $88,916,700 through participation in the Minnesota Tax and Aid Anticipation Borrowing Program to address an anticipated cash flow shortage resulting from the State Aid Shift.
MCA-II test results
Board of Education members received a report on the District's MCA-II test results. Overall, the District continued the recent trend of making overall incremental gains in the percentage of students who tested proficient on math exams and the overall percentage of students who tested proficient in reading remained steady. The 3.3 percent increase in math and the lack of a change in reading left the District short of its ambitious double-digit gains it set as a goal last year, but some schools did reach that goal individually.
