Pick up your feet at this year's fun run! If you enjoy running or are training for another event, this is the race for you! Your kids can participate in the 1K Fun Run too! All NET proceeds will go to C.A.D.E. (Children with Autism Deserve Education), a non-profit foundation. And afterwards, head up to the Minneapolis Greek Festival for some tasty treats!
The 9th annual Taste of Greece 5K race will be held on Friday, September 7th, 2012 at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. The Kids 1K (free) starts at 6:15pm and the 5K race starts at 6:30pm. Packet pickup opens at 5:00pm and is located at the race starting area (Lake Calhoun parking lot on the corner of 36th Street and East Calhoun Parkway).
Pre-registration is $20 and Race-Day registration is $25. All paying participants will receive a high quality long sleeve t-shirt and food tickets (valued at $5) to the 24th annual Minneapolis Greek Festival - Taste of Greece 2012. Registration is online here.

After a hiatus of three years, the Heart of the City (HOTC) races, presented by Pawn America and LivINN Hotels, are returning to Burnsville - this time as a 10K and 5K.
All proceeds will benefit the Kids Feeding Kids Program, and the race will be held in conjunction with Burnsville's annual Fire Muster celebration. The 10K and 5K will begin at City Hall in Burnsville at 8 a.m., with the kids 1K fun run to follow at 9:30.
 O'Neal Hampton, Jr., a contestant on Season 9 of NBC's hit show "The Biggest Loser", and founder of the O'Neal Hampton Wellness Foundation is excited to come out to encourage all runners and walkers (and will be walking the 5K), as well as take photo opportunities and sign autographs.

31st Edition of the City of Lakes 25K!
Registration is now open for the City of Lakes 25K. This classic fall race is a great tune-up for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. The race features a beautiful scenic course that winds around Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun finishing at the Lake Harriet bandshell. Runners receive the classic City of Lakes Beer Stein finisher mug at the finish. Water and powerade every 2.5 miles and all runners get an official half marathon time as they cross that split point. Earn a Guaranteed Entry for the 2013 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon
Register today for Grandma's Minnesota Mile road race in downtown Duluth. This one-mile event on Sunday, Sept. 9 is open to runners of all skill levels. Also, the Minnesota Mile offers runners a unique opportunity to secure a spot in next year's Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, as 250 finishers will be randomly selected to receive guaranteed entries into the 2013 half marathon on June 22.
Registration for all divisions is conducted exclusively online at www.GrandmasMarathon.com. The pre-registration entry fee is $20 and late registration (September 8 and 9) is $25.

The race is part of the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge, America's Premier Men's Health Event Series, taking place in 34 cities in 2012. Funds raised go to local and national prostate cancer research, education, and advocacy.

Muscle Milk Woodsy is a trail run that will test your agility and will over untouched terrain.
We work with the parks district to open up select gates at Murphy-Hanrehan to create a 'once a year' trail to race.
 All participants will receive a long sleeve tech shirt, and finishers receive a wooden race medal. Free food and drinks at the finish festival as well. Woodsy is a part of the USATF MUT race series. Family fun and entertainment before and after the run in the park as well as prize drawings for all registered participants help kick off our playground fund raising campaign. Our school is housed in a building originally used for older kids. Our current playground is not only old and in need of repair, but was designed for those older kids that used to use the building, not the younger ones that need it now. 6th Anniversary Women Run the Cities!
Look for 2,700 participants in the 6th annual Women Run the Cities this year!
Runners and walkers will start and finish their races at scenic Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis. The course allows runners and spectators to enjoy the beautiful parks along the Mississippi River, with the 10-mile course winding through both Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The event begins with a Women's 10-mile Run at 8:00 AM, a Girls 1-Mile Run at 8:10 AM, and a Women's 5K Walk / Run at 8:30 AM.
This is a unique, all women and girls event that includes women professionals who want to be engaged in a healthy lifestyle while also supporting girls in realizing their dreams.
A portion of the proceeds from Women Run the Cities will benefit the Ann Bancroft Foundation's Dare to Dream mini-grants and the CREW Network Foundation.

Didn't get into your favorite fall event? Get your calendars marked for the Grand Forks Half Marathon.
This flat course will take you through some of the most scenic and historic sites of Grand Forks, ND and East Grand Forks, MN. It begins in the south end of Grand Forks and takes you north through the beautiful residential area along Belmont Road to Lincoln Park Drive. After a short run through Lincoln Park, you'll head north again to cross over the river on the Point Bridge into Minnesota and over the Murray Bridge to downtown East Grand Forks. From there, you'll take the Sorlie Bridge back into North Dakota, and the Grand Forks downtown area. Finally, you'll head south on tree lined residential streets all the way back to the Wild Hog and the finish line. Registration is online here.

Moms on the Run Fall Season

 Moms on the run is excited to kick off our fall season in September. This 9-week class provides a comprehensive workout twice a week combining strength training, cardiovascular work and stretching for the busy woman. Strength training will be worked right into our cardio intervals for optimal muscle toning and enhanced metabolism. The cardio portion is appropriate for both runners and walkers and is also a great introduction to running for beginners. There will also be a distance night that will focus on pacing and endurance through a running-only workout of 3+ miles. Children in jogging strollers are welcome.
