Hearts Healing Hearts 5K
Hearts healing hearts

Saturday, August 4

Sartell, MN

The Young Adult Heart Foundation is an all volunteer, 501 (C)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young adult heart patients in all aspects of life.

We have built a community of young adult heart patients through social media that has a sympiotic relationship with one another which is driven by our executive committee and boad members. This relationship allows patients to get help from the group but also help others and thus gain purpose and confidence, which is a key ingredient in healing. We also want to get awareness out to communities that young adults can be patients of heart disease and the best thing for these patients is support. We offer grants and scholarships to those patients in need, and a lifelong support regarding heart, mind, and body health. We partner with the American Heart Association, Go Red for Women, Donate Life, University of Minnesota Physicians Heart and the MN Resuscitation Consortium in order to get awareness out to young adults that support is available to them.

This year we are organizing our first big event, the "Hearts Healing Hearts" 5K walk/run in Sartell, Minnesota on August 4th, 2012.

Our Web site is youngadultheart.org and regisration can be found on that site or go to youngadultheart/5K.org
