Explore Minnesota Challenge series includes more than 25 races in locations around the state of Minnesota and encourages runners and walkers to participate in eight events, including at least one in each of four different areas of the state. A special Explore Minnesota Challenge medal will be awarded to those who complete a total of 8 events including one in each of the four designated areas. MDRA is a proud sponsor of this first year series.

Inaugural Hot Dam 5K Fun Run

Run for the Boom! And join us for the inaugural Hot Dam 5K!
July 3rd at 6:30pm. Take in the beautiful view of the Minneapolis skyline as you enjoy a comfortable walk or run on the most scenic course in Minneapolis, which includes historic Main Street and the Stone Arch Bridge. Stick around after the run for a FREE concert and movie on Nicollet Island Pavilion. Romantica will perform live from 7-9pm with the movie Captain America starting at 9:00pm. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy an evening of entertainment along the Minneapolis riverfront.
Race Day registration is $30 For All Participants and gets underway at 5:30 p.m. on Main Street and 3rd Ave. SE.

Eastview NHS Scholarship 5K

Help us fund merit-based scholarships to students going to college.
The Scholarship 5K will fund merit-based scholarships for students to help defray the rising costs of obtaining a college education and also benefits Academic Literacy programs at Eastview High School. These programs work with striving readers in our community as well as students who purposely seek out book club opportunities in the school such as the Eastview Book Club and the Real Men Read Book Club.
Eastview Scholarship 5K is Saturday, July 14 at Eastview High School Stadium, 6200 140th Street West in Apple Valley.
Packet pick-up is at Run N Fun in Burnsville, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 13. Race Day registration and packet pick-up on Saturday starts at 7:00 a.m. at Eastview Stadium.

The Highland Business Association, proud producers of Highland Fest, proudly celebrates our 29th anniversary as a festival with the 9th Annual Highland Fest 5K run/walk and Youth 1K Fun Run!
The 1K Fun Run will immediately follow the 5K and there will be awards for each 1K participant! Tee Shirts will go to all pre registered 5k participants. (Please indicate on the registration what size you would like)
There will be one water stop half way on the certified course, which starts and finishes on Mississippi River Boulevard across from the Ford Motor Company. Race bags will be handed out at registration and there will be refreshments at the finish line. And there will be top three male and female awards in the 5K event.

Nancy English Run

On August 8, 2008, the Duluth-Superior area lost a wonderful woman.
Nancy English was a doctor, women's health advocate, community supporter and mother. With the help of many family and friends, the first annual "Dr. Nancy I English Memorial 5k Run/Walk" was created in November, 2008. It was a great success! We raised over $15,000 that first year. Our second, third and fourth years were even a greater success and the foundation as a whole has raised over $100,000. The race is meant to be fun, memorialize a wonderful women and generate money for scholarships for women going back to school later in life with a strong sense of community service. To date, the non-profit Foundation behind the NIE5k has given out 25 scholarships.
Please join us on Saturday July 28th in Duluth, MN for the fifth annual race and consider a donation to this wonderful cause!
Kids race begins at 8:15 and 5k commences at 8:30. Day of Registration is from 7-8am, with race packet pick up and registration also available at the Edge at 2400 London Road from 3-7pm on Friday, July 27th.

The 4th Annual American Red Cross RUN FOR BLOOD 5K run/walk and quarter marathon is taking place on Saturday, July 28 at Lake Calhoun. This event is chip-timed and course-certified. There is fun for everyone; entertainment, refreshments and a community blood drive are cornerstones of this annual event!

Every two seconds someone in America needs blood and that blood can only come from generous volunteer donors. Join Glen, Alisha and the Minnesota Twins players for a great race downtown Minneapolis and a game at Target Field! Participants receive a Fifteen's 5K shirt and a ticket to watch the Twins take on the Tampa Bay Rays, August 10-12. Prizes will also be randomly given away at the finish line. 31st Edition of the City of Lakes 25K!
Registration is now open for the City of Lakes 25K. This classic fall race is a great tune-up for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. The race features a beautiful scenic course that winds around Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun finishing at the Lake Harriet bandshell. Runners receive the classic City of Lakes Beer Stein finisher mug at the finish. Water and powerade every 2.5 miles and all runners get an official half marathon time as they cross that split point. Muscle Milk Woodsy is a trail run that will test your agility and will over untouched terrain.
We work with the parks district to open up select gates at Murphy-Hanrehan to create a 'once a year' trail to race. All participants will receive a long sleeve tech shirt, and finishers receive a wooden race medal. Free food and drinks at the finish festival as well. Woodsy is a part of the USATF MUT race series.
Distances: 8.9 miles and 4.9 miles
Cost: $55 for the Full Woodsy and $40 for the Half Woodsy. Info and registration is online here.

PurpleStride Rochester 2012 is Saturday, September 22 at Rochester Community Technical College. This event showcases a 5K walk/10K timed run, food, games, entertainment, and more! 6th Anniversary Women Run the Cities!
Look for 2,700 participants in the 6th annual Women Run the Cities this year!
Runners and walkers will start and finish their races at scenic Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis. The course allows runners and spectators to enjoy the beautiful parks along the Mississippi River, with the 10-mile course winding through both Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The event begins with a Women's 10-mile Run at 8:00 AM, a Girls 1-Mile Run at 8:10 AM, and a Women's 5K Walk / Run at 8:30 AM.
This is a unique, all women and girls event that includes women professionals who want to be engaged in a healthy lifestyle while also supporting girls in realizing their dreams.
A portion of the proceeds from Women Run the Cities will benefit the Ann Bancroft Foundation's Dare to Dream mini-grants and the CREW Network Foundation.
