Explore Minnesota Challenge series includes more than 25 races in locations around the state of Minnesota and encourages runners and walkers to participate in eight events, including at least one in each of four different areas of the state. A special Explore Minnesota Challenge medal will be awarded to those who complete a total of 8 events including one in each of the four designated areas. MDRA is a proud sponsor of this first year series.

Lymphoma

The Lymphomathon is a non-competitive 5K walk/run in which Lymphoma survivors, caregivers, loved ones and friends gather to celebrate, honor and support one another while raising funds for lymphoma research and programs.   

In 2011, more than 6,000 participants raised more than $1.4 million to support the Lymphoma Research Foundation's mission of eradicating lymphoma and serving those touched by this disease.  To learn more, call Dana at 612.968.3757 or email minnesota@lymphoma.org.

Fight for Air Walk

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease. 

Fight for Air Climbs are unique fundraising events for the American Lung Association, where teams or individuals race/run up 660 stairs. This event is a wonderful way to challenge your self-weather your goal is to just reach the top or to be first to cross the finish line- you will walk away with a newfound respect for your lungs! Sometimes called a "vertical road race", the American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb will be held February 23, 2013 at Accenture Tower downtown Minneapolis. American Lung Association Climbs are also a wonderful way to support someone who has lung disease or as a memorial to someone who has passed away. There are usually a limited number of spots available in each Climb, so be sure to sign up early Register online here.

Suburban Adventure Run

The Suburban Adventure Run is an all-terrain run in, and around, Spirit of Brandtien Farm in Lakeville.

Register online here or you can register on the day of the race at 8:00 a.m. with the 5K and 10K to follow at 9:00 a.m., the Walkathon at 9:45am and the Kids Fun Run at 11:00am. All participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt along with lunch after the race.
Proceeds benefit HopeKids; an organization that provides ongoing events and activities with a powerful, unique support community for children with cancer and other life-threatening medical conditions.

Gran Fondo - Stage 5, Nature Valley Grand Prix

Looking for a challenging bike Ride? 

 

Well, "Ride Like the Pros" at the Menomonie, WI - Gran Fondo.  On Saturday, June 16th, Menomonie, WI will be hosting Stage 5 of the Nature Valley Grand Prix Bicycle Festival. The course includes the challenging rural county roads outside the City that have been a favorite with cyclists of the upper Midwest for years. The men's road race consists of 101 miles, while the women will cover an81 mile course that follows the same beginning and ending roadways.

You too can "Ride Like the Pros".The Menomonie Gran Fondo ride follows the same route as the men and women pro cyclist. (See website below for registration) Participants can challenge themselves on the "Timed" King of the Hill, at Star Hill, one of our most demanding climbs in the area. You will return to the streets of Menomonie in time for the thrilling finishing circuits of the professional men and women races.

For cyclists who prefer fewer miles, but still would like to be a part of the action a Spectator Ride brings cyclists out on the race course to watch the pro's in live action. There are various distances the spectator riders can choice from depending upon ability. Like the Gran Fondo participants, you will return for the finish of the professional races.
