Explore Minnesota Challenge series includes more than 25 races in locations around the state of Minnesota and encourages runners and walkers to participate in eight events, including at least one in each of four different areas of the state. A special Explore Minnesota Challenge medal will be awarded to those who complete a total of 8 events including one in each of the four designated areas. Minneapolis Recycle Run

Gather a group of friends and enjoy a 5K run to kick of the Spring running Season!
Registration for the fifth annual Minneapolis Recycle Run 5K and free Kids' Run is now open! The event takes place on Sunday, April 22, at 8:45am at Lake Harriet.

Returning once again, the Kids' half-mile run is free and open to youth ages 11 and under.  Pre-registration is a must for all Kids' Run participants. The chip-timed 5K is open to individuals 12 and older at the cost of $30 to participate. Included in the registration fee is the official 2012 Recycle Run T-shirt. All participants are invited to bring used running shoes and shirts to the event to be recycled. Proceeds from the event benefit the annual Earth Day Clean Up events.

3rd Annual Randy's Run

The 3rd Annual Randy's Run continues to honor a legacy and forge a future.  

 

Randy's Run takes place on May 28 this year, with the 5K fun run/walk starting at 8:00 a.m. at Purgatory Creek Park in Eden Prairie, in advance of the Eden Prairie Memorial Veterans ceremony.   

 

New this year is the Special Ops Challenge.  If you know of a police/fire/EMS/military unit who would like to build camaraderie within their department and compete for a chance to win much needed equipment, join the Special Ops Challenge.  More info is here. 

 

Randy's Run 5K is a nonprofit event with 100% of proceeds going to a college scholarship in Randell Voas' name at Eden Prairie High School. With a great tech t-shirt, refreshments and a water stop, along with awards for all kinds of categories, Randy's Run is a great way to get out there with friends and family.

Register before the April 1 price increase to take advantage of the current $90 registration fee for the event's 36th running from Two Harbors to Duluth. Beginning April 1, the marathon entry fee increases to $100 where it will remain until registration closes June 1. Race day is Saturday, June 16 with a 7:45 a.m. start time.

Join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network for two amazing events in Minnesota! PurpleRideTwin Cities 2012 is Saturday, September 15 at Elm Creek Regional Park.  This biking event offers 25 and 8-mile routes for different levels of riders, survivor recognition ceremony, and live entertainment.  For event details, go to www.purpleride.org.  PurpleStride Rochester 2012 is Saturday, September 22 at Rochester Community Technical College.  This event showcases a 5K walk/10K timed run, food, games, entertainment, and more! These events are both family friendly and raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and provide inspiration and hope to those affected by pancreatic cancer.  Registration for both events opens May 1.
