|
Enjoy a crisp morning run or walk amid spectacular fall colors in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove. This Three River's Park District family-friendly event features a 5K certified run/walk, 10K certified run, a Classic Corporate Challenge for groups, and a 1K kids' fun run. Other activities include SNAG golf, kids' obstacle course, crafts, music, live raptor, wellness activities, and a 25-foot climbing wall. Scenic Byway Half Marathon & 5K, October 8

Join us for the inaugural MN River Valley Scenic Byway Half Marathon & 5K in Belle Plaine and enjoy beautiful Autumn scenery as you run along the Scenic Byway loop. Rich in agricultural heritage,
Belle Plaine is located between the Twin Cities and Mankato and is the last stop on the 287 mile stretch of the MN River Valley Scenic Byway. Proceeds will benefit the MN River Valley Scenic Byway Clean-Up and the Belle Plaine Chamber of Commerce. Both courses are USATF certified and chip timing will be provided for both. Awards for the top male and female in 10 year age categories in both the Half Marathon and 5K. Shirts will be provided to all race participants and special custom medals to all Half Marathon participants.
Register online by October 1st or by visiting belleplainemn.com under Chamber of Commerce. Registration is also available on the day of the race at 7:30 AM. Bring the whole family and join us after the race for food, entertainment, craft show and kid-friendly activities!

Get Your Rear In Gear, October 15

Get Your Rear in Gear Milwaukee 5K will raise funds for colon cancer awareness and screening. The course at Hart Park in Wauwatosa is USATF certified. All participants receive performance shirts. Runnin' with the Law, October 15

Don't miss the second annual TRIA Runnin' with the Law 5K (9:00 a.m.) and Kids Fun Run (8:45 a.m.) at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on Saturday, October 15th. Cash awards for the top 3 men and women, age group awards and great shirts for everyone. Police exhibits (SWAT, horses, dogs etc.) and music will be held in the Lake Harriet Band shell after the race. Proceeds benefit the Minneapolis Police Department Fitness Team. The Fitness Team is dedicated to establishing an active, healthy culture within the MPD and local community.

Join us for the World's Largest Corn Maze Run right here in Minnesota
Run or Walk a 5k course entirely through one of the largest corn mazes on Sunday, October 16. Weave through 100's of turns on the clearly marked course as fast as you can. That is right, miles of course entirely through corridors of corn! All turns will be clearly marked. Long sleeve event shirt to all participants. Are you ready for a corny, crazy and a-maze-ing experience?!!

Boo Run Run Run, October 22
|
The 3rd Annual "Boo Run Run Run" will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Harriet Island (200 Doctor Justus Ohage Blvd., St. Paul) on the beautiful Mississippi River in St. Paul, MN. This is a certified 5K Run/Walk with chip timing and Kids Run sponsored by Community Neighborhood Housing Services (CNHS). The Kids Run will be at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:45a.m. Costumes, dogs and strollers encouraged and welcome. Prizes will be given for best costumes for males and females. Each participant receives a "boo'tiful" T Shirt. Entry fees are $25.00 in advance for adults and $10.00 for kids 12 and under. Race day Adults are $30.00 and Kids under 12 are $15.00. Pinewood Halloween Run, October 29

Please join us for our 1st Annual Pinewood Phantom 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, October 29th. The 5K run/walk and kids fun runs will start and finish at Pinewood Community School in Eagan. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Kids fun runs will start at 9:00 a.m. with the 5K run/walk starting at 9:30 (no dogs or rollerblades please). Costumes are welcome and encouraged. Prizes will be given for best costume for adults and kids. Entry fees are $25 in advance for the 5K and $10 in advance for the kids fun run. Race day fees will be $30 for the 5K and $15 for the kids fun run. You can register online here. This event is sponsored by the Pinewood PTO and all proceeds benefit Pinewood Community School.
