Dear Families,
Depending on your opinion, February is either a special time to celebrate love or a petty holiday that makes florists tons of money. Regardless of your stance on Valentine's Day, February is a great time to refocus on your passions, whether they are your marriage, kids, career, or hobbies. It is also a great time to look inward and find ways to love yourself!
In the Marine Corps Family Team Building office, we have mothers (an expectant one too!), wives, dog lovers, outdoor and fitness enthusiasts, shopaholics, foodies, reading fanatics, college professors and students. We, just like military spouses, have diverse interests and hobbies, but we are united by the passion to equip military families with resilience for this lifestyle.
As this month reminds us to love well, we encourage you to take time to rediscover and invest in your own passions. This month, Marine Corps Family Team Building is offering programs for personal growth, including the Career Building workshop on February 24th and a GED Info Session on February 25th. If you are looking to boost communication in your marriage, check out our Couples Communication Workshop on February 10th. And for parents we are offering opportunities to enhance your kids' resilience in the Marine Corps, in your own parenting skills through our Parenting and Deployment Class on February 24th, or the ongoing Hearts Apart Deployment Support groups and LINKS sessions.
Regardless of your passions or interests, Marine Corps Family Team Building is here to empower love for yourself, your family, your work, and your hobbies. This month, don't hesitate to buy yourself some chocolate and remember that regardless of the month or season, love inspires us to BLOOM. Your MCFTB Team,
Kate, Bekah, Brooke, Sarah, & Jenny |
