Save a Tree or Write a Book?
For years guests have been saying, "You should write the book". Well, why not? We have started to dig into the catacombs of our dusty minds to uncover stories from our 33 years of Innkeeping. We hope that one day these will take shape as something entertaining to share. If you remember something poignant, interesting or funny about one of your visits with us, send along a note to jog our memories. Who knows: maybe we can fictionalize you and your story into an icon of modern culture. We promise (if this idea actually gets completed) to plant a copse in compensation! |
Animal Planet Called
and You Listened.
Thank you for your creative ideas!
We earlier told you that the Sky, the Inn dog and star of the Dog Travel Chanel tour of Concord , has been spotted by Animal Planet and the producers of a new show, "Fetch Me a Beer". Sky had her audition and pleased everyone with her talents.
The concept is to teach Sky a guest-services related trick. Your many suggestions have been forwarded to the show's staff. We are still waiting to hear from the Producers about the final schedule and plan. We will keep you posted! |
Homilies and Prayers
We have added a new section to the Innkeeper's Journal at the Hawthorne Inn website. It is called
Words from the Altar. Many of you know that Gregory, the Innkeeper, was ordained a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church on May 31, 2008. The new section shares some of his homilies and various prayers written for Church services and ecumenical ceremonies in Concord. |
