We have a special  home listing in Concord, the historically significant "Grapevine Cottage". This First-Period (C. 1690-1716) , center -chimney cottage is where the original Concord Grape was developed and still grows.  Not encumbered by modern up-grades this gem needs vision and polishing. Located across the road from the Inn and Priced at $799,000.
Call us for info and a listing-sheet.
Gregory Wearing Another Hat

Since  my Ordination, in May of 2008 as a Roman Catholic Deacon, I have been assigned to serve Concord's Holy Family Parish. It was my great honor to be chosen by the Town of Concord Celebrations Committee to act in the capacity of Clergy for  the  Veterans Day and Flag Retirement Ceremony at Sleepy Hollow Cemetary. It was a moving day honoring all who have served our nation and flag.

A Massachusetts Lobster South Korean Public Television Visits the Inn
A very popular South Korean Public Television Travel Show came, with host and crew, to film at the Hawthorne Inn while investigating American Culture. The Innkeepers were extensively interviewed for their insights and knowledge of local history. The Hawthorne Inn was highlighted for its beauty and design. We hope to soon have some film-footage available on line.

This photo is one of the many sculptures on display at the Decordova Museum and Sculpture Park, one of the many cultural sites located just a few minutes from the Inn. See more about this on our Out and About section of our Innkeeper's Journal.

Sky is now a star on the Dog Channel Network. Join us for a dog-friendly tour of Concord.

Many of you remember Sky's winning personality and her keen ability to get anyone and everyone to play with her; be it to kick a ball or throw a frisbee. Well, Sky has been "discovered". The Dog Travel Channel has just completed filming Sky as the central personality for a travelogue on Concord. Sky took the film-makers on a lovely tour of the town, including a quick swim in the Concord River by the Old North Bridge.
