Buckner, MO (April 7th, 2010) - On the heels of a great Lucas Oil MLRA Season Opener at I-80 Speedway, the Lucas Oil MLRA now heads to the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri this Saturday, April 10th. Over 50 of the top MLRA late models were in attendance at I-80 and more of the same is expected at Lucas Oil Speedway in this early season showdown. 2008 MLRA Champion John Anderson from Omaha, Nebraska leads the MLRA contingent into action this weekend with a slim point lead over 2009 MLRA Champion Al Purkey by virtue of their 1-2 finish last weekend.
Anderson, driving a Jay Dickens powered MasterSbilt with support from Shop Quik Convenience Stores, Sunoco Race Fuel, and MarCorp Electric collected his 20th career MLRA win in his home state at I-80. In addition to the strong showings by Anderson and Purkey, Springfield, Missouri veteran Terry Phillips captured the 3rd spot on Saturday and will be in action this weekend along with Republic, Missouri's Brad Looney who had a a very strong 4th place finish last weekend. Local Favorites David Turner, Jason Bodenhamer, Jeremy Payne, Rylan Long, and Eric Turner are just a few of the top drivers expected to take to the 3/8th mile Lucas Oil Speedway oval this Saturday.
Grandstand gates are set to open at 5:00pm with the Pit Gates slated for
a 4:00pm open time. Hot Laps get underway at 6:30 with racing starting
at 7:05. Adult Admission is just $20 for this first Special Event of
2010. Seniors and Military are only $15 while Juniors (6-15) are just
$5. Race fans 5-years of age and younger are FREE. Pit Passes are set at $25. The first 500 adults that sign up get a chance to win a shot at a wild
Dirt Late Model Two-Seater ride with MLRA Champion Al Purkey. Kids
Inflatables, a dirt late model simulator, and the Slick Track Go-Karts
are just a few of the attractions this weekend. The Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds will also be in action this weekend as a large field of the top modified drivers in the area are also expected.

special Family Passes which are priced at only $40 for this event which
includes entry for two adults (age 16 and up) and up to three youth
(ages 6-15). A very limited
