WinCable 104.7 Update In Your Future?
For those who've been with GLDS any length of time, you know we're pretty serious about perpetual product improvement. On average, GLDS produces a new WinCable release about every 90 days. While the SuperController development cycle isn't nearly as aggressive, the two platforms have intersected with the newest release of both products. What does that mean for you? It means that for those operators who upgrade to WinCable release 1.104.7 (available in general release by the end of October) you will also need to upgrade SuperController to release 3.1.0.0 at the same time. The important take-away here is that SuperController will need to be upgraded first. Since SuperController upgrades are always performed (at no charge during regular business hours) by GLDS, you'll want to coordinate the entire process with the GLDS Tech Support team well in advance of any planned migration. Please do not attempt upgrading to 104.7 without first contacting GLDS.

Configure CableAnytime the 'Smart' Way
 Did you know you can assign Equipment Types to Services in WinCable System Configuration so your subscribers don't try to upgrade to packages they don't have the right equipment for? When configured the 'smart' way, your subscribers will only see the packages in CableAnytime available to them based on the equipment on their account at that time. For example, if they already have a digital set top box they will be eligible to upgrade to digital packages. And if that set-top is enabled for PPV they can order PPV via CableAnytime. |
