GLDS Opens European Office

We are pleased to announce the opening of a European office in Kaunas, Lithuania.  The new office is managed by Senior Software Engineer Paulius Pazera, who joined GLDS in 1998.

We now have development teams working around the clock.  This allows us to solve problems for customers and bring new products to market even more quickly.  New programming, support, and engineering staff members have also been added to the company's Carlsbad, California office.

The new office has already begun to pay off for operators who use WinCable and SuperController.  We've been able to hand off work from the California office to our team in Europe and have a solution delivered before our customers even wake up in the morning.  With software installations spread across the globe, it made a lot of sense for GLDS to expand internationally.
Introducing WinWatch

Have you heard of WinWatch?  The new product, which is fully integrated with WinCableŽ, provides powerful new functionality for cable operators.
The new WinWatch application allows users to define triggers for outage alerts, including time frames, call types, franchises, controllers, headends, hubs, and nodes.  By analyzing service call patterns, WinWatch can identify outages and alert the operator sooner.

The outage detection system, which is compatible with both Standard and Enterprise versions of GLDS software, is not intended to duplicate network monitoring products.  Unlike third-party monitoring software, WinWatch is fully integrated with the WinCable billing and provisioning system.

WinWatch can be used to manage planned as well as unplanned outages.  Authorized users can create global outage work orders which will display on effected subscriber records until the required work is completed.

Contact GLDS Sales for more information about WinWatch.
40 Users' Group Wish List Items Delivered

Did you know that at each GLDS Users' Group, we dedicate a couple of sessions to getting customer feedback on product direction?  The result is a list of great ideas for ways we can improve our products.  Over the last year, GLDS has worked its way through the list and we're pleased to say that with our newest release, we will have completed more than 40 requested improvements.

Be Heard:  This year's Users' Group is being held May 5th through 7th in beautiful Carlsbad, California.  Attendees will hear about industry trends, gain insight from operator case studies/panels, learn about new features added in the last year and provide input on how to improve WinCable as we look at the next year.

NOW HIRING
GLDS is looking for a few enthusiastic people to add to our team.  We currently have openings in our Carlsbad, CA office for account management, and technical support.

Candidates should have LOTS of experience in the Cable TV industry, and be expert in the use of GLDS billing and addressable products.

The catch?  GLDS has a policy of NEVER hiring current employees from our customers.  It's an ethical thing with us.  However, if you know of qualified people who have recently left the employ of a GLDS customer please let us know!  We're always looking for the best people to serve our software users worldwide.
