WinCable Ready for HITS BSID Changes

Last month, the HITS operations center announced that it had reached capacity on BSID numbers. In response, they have allocated another block of 1,000 numbers ranging from 1,000-2,000.
They require that each product and service have their own distinct values. This will prevent BSID's from overlapping and to ensure new BSID values don't conflict with already defined parameter types within the billing system.
WinCable was built with this expansion in mind and GLDS has been ready for this change since it first introduced support for the HITS platform almost ten years ago.

WinCable Hosting
|
Traditionally available as a stand-alone solution, GLDS also offers WinCable as a hosted subscriber management platform available to operators via the Internet from any location in the world. This model will allow broadband operators to use WinCable, including all related functionality, without managing a single piece of billing-related hardware like WinCable and
SuperController. Database maintenance, updates and backups will be expertly managed by trained personnel at the GLDS Data Center in Carlsbad, CA.
Users will access WinCable and related GLDS products via a thin Citrix client installed on the user's machine. Provided the operator has reliable Internet access with sufficient bandwidth, users should see virtually no change in performance.
Several customers have already learned how easy it can be to use WinCable remotely. An existing WinCable user, Kennedy Cable, had problems with their server. Rather than invest in replacement hardware, Kennedy decided to try our hosted solution. Thanks to GLDS' Hosting, Kennedy was back in business within 48 hours. Reprint Bills

Do you ever need to reprint a bill for a customer from a previous billing cycle?
If you print your bills in-house or have some of our Three Message Statement Bill forms on hand, it's as easy as Steps 1, 2 and 3.
Step 1 - Go to: Reports - Billing Statements/AutoPayments and select Billing Statements. Select your Billing Statement form, and put a dot in the radio button for "Closed Billing Cycle". Next, click on the button "Get Closed Billing Cycle" and choose the cycle to print from. Modify Billing Date as it would have been for the cycle you choose to reprint. Then select Subscriber Range and enter From <Account Number> and To <Account Number>. If the subscribers Bill Form is set at anything other than TMS, you'll also need to select Billing
Form and choose their default Bill Form (EXT, NBF, etc.) along with TMS. Use Ctrl-Click to select more than one Bill Form.
Step 2 - Load bill form into printer.
Step 3 - Checkmark at Reprint field and Print.
That's it. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3.
