Years Ahead with Voice
Blue Phone

GLDS launched its first VoIP project at Northland Communications in July of 2004, more than three years ago.  We built our VoIP solution, WinVoIP, on the idea that subscribers didn't want to see their one-page cable bill balloon to ten or more pages to accommodate CDRs.  Further, operators didn't need to see their print and mail costs balloon either.

Instead GLDS offered a simple solution: present call usage as aggregated line items on the invoice and send subscribers to CableAnytime (WinCable's web-based customer self-care portal) for call detail.  The solution has worked wonderfully and operators find that directing subscribers to CableAnytime can result in additional PPV orders, package upgrades and reduced call volume for CSRs.

It seems as though others now agree that GLDS got it right.  On October 23rd, Sprint/Nextel announced that they were changing their bill format to eliminate CDRs.  Instead, they'd direct subscribers to their web site where they could view CDRs, and pay their bill online.  Sprint/Nextel expected that the result would be a reduction in statement size from an average of seven pages, to three.

We do our best to help you stay ahead of the curve - and ahead of your competition!

Reports in your Inbox

Do you have a report that you run every Monday morning?  Ever wish you could have reports run while you're out of the office?  The Job List can automate both of these tasks for you.

The Job List can automatically run reports at specified times, such as the middle of the night when the most system resources are available.  The report can be printed, e-mailed, or archived.

Users can access the Job List from the main WinCable menu or from Go To, Job List.  The Job List must be left up on a workstation in order to run the reports.
