The Beautification Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Beautification Awards. Nominations will be accepted now through June 19, and can be submitted by phone, email or website.

Farmers' Market and Artist Alley
The Farmers' Market continues, each Saturday morning from 7:30 - noon, now through October 31. This week's entertainment: Touch of Soul  with DJ Brillo and Greg Brown and Friends in the Artists' Alley.

Lunchtime Concerts at the Courthouse
Bloomington Parks and Recreation continues it's lunchtime music series at the McLean County Museum of History on June 3  with Aduki. Bring your lunch, and enjoy the middle of the middle of your work week!

Annual Book Sale 
The Friends of the Bloomington Public Library Book sale previews for members  on June 4 from 5-8 pm at the Crossroads Center, 438 Wylie Dr. in Bloomington. The sale continues for the general public June 5, 10 -8; June 6, 10 - 5 and June 7, noon - 4.

Twin City Tours 
Twin City Tours is a guided bus tour of over 40 Bloomington-Normal attractions including the Beer Nuts plant, Mitsubishi Motors North America, ISU, IWU, Uptown Normal and Downtown Bloomington. The two hour tour begins and ends in front of the McLean County Museum of History and the cost of the tour is $1 per person. Advanced reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau at 309.665.0033. The tours are conducted every Saturday from May 30th - August 29th (excluding holidays).
Parking is available in the parking deck on the corner of East and Front Street.

Old House Society Annual House Tour
The Old House Society, in association with the David Davis Mansion, and the Davis/Jefferson Neighborhood Associaiton is hosting their annual House Tour. Tickets are $12 in advance for adults and children under 12 are free.

The GLT Summer Concert
Now in its ninth year, the GLT Summer Concert is one of Central Illinois' signature events. It's an open -air FREE concert held on the Courthouse Square in Downtown Bloomington, with a walk around beer and wine garden, festival foods, and a whole lotta jazz and blues.
This year's line up features Nora Jean Bruso, Hot Club of Detroit and the R & B Bombers.
