Today I stopped in at our local Barnes and Noble and, since I'd been working all day and knew I'd have to come home and write this, I stepped into the New Age aisle in the hope of catching a bit of inspiration.
 Wow. So, evidently, the world is going to end next year, there is proof that we share DNA with aliens. My child is Indigo, or at least very, very dark blue (which could explain so much, except I didn't look in that book because I refuse to pick up any book that professes to be an "idiot's guide" to anything, just on general principle). Continuing on the subject of children, there's a lot we can learn from youngsters who have passed on, or so says I'm Not Dead, Just Different. There also is help to be had from other dead people, channelled shamans, animals, Mayans, spirit guides, ascended masters, angels and aliens. Whether or not these are the aliens with whom we share DNA, I'm not sure.
Overview? We want help. We want to be guided. We want to be shown what to do, how to do, when to do. We want to be reassured. We want hope. We want the promise of something more, something better, something true. Yes. Of course we do. Why? Because it is our birthright. It is within us. The truth, the reassurance, the guidance, the help. The Veda says it this way: AHAM BRAHMASMI. "I am That." I am Totality.
Everything there is to know, everything there is to have, everything there is to be is here, within me. We look for it because we know it's there. And since we rarely are encouraged to look within, or shown how to look within, we look without. This is good news. It's the looking that matters. The best of what we find directs us to go back within. The worst of it tells us to look somewhere else. But even that isn't a bad thing; because as the Veda also tells us, all that ever is going on is progressive change. So as long as we don't stop, we are bound to find a truth that will lead us to a truth that will lead us to our truth. And on...
Today I will follow my intuition, open to where it leads me, taking everything with a grain of salt, a sense of humor and the sure and certain knowledge that something greater than me is guiding me from within.
