So if it's all God's will and none of my own, where does choice lie? Am I just flotsam on the ocean of life, randomly pulled about by the currents? If that's the case, what am I doing here?
Actually, the task at hand is very simple: to follow God's will. This of course implies that we've been able to discern God's will for us. How does that happen?
We can begin with the truth of the Veda that God wants us to be happy, joyous and free. Nature wants nothing of us but to be the most full, free and alive expression of itself we can be. Why? Because we are nature, and that's what nature wants of itself and for itself: full, free, alive expression. This is the direction of evolution, and we are its proponents.
Today I will seek to believe that God wants me to be happy. Whenever I have a negative thought about myself or someone else, I will look for evidence to support this idea of God-sanctioned happiness.
