Ralph Howe Ministries An Apostolic Approach
Ralph Howe Ministries
Miroslav Bertran - Interpreter and Administrator, As this edition of An Apostolic Approach comes into your email inbox I will be in Elkhart, IN. at a three day apostolic roundtable. I was invited several months back to attend this time of seeking God and hearing what He is saying to His Church today. I immediately said that I would attend as I believe the hand of the Lord is in this investment of my time and the funds of this ministry.

As I gather with 26 other apostolic men from around the United States I believe God will also be speaking to me about the next steps we are to take here at Ralph Howe Ministries. I believe in the prophetic and every detail of the last three prophetic words received about my ministry in the last year through a prophet of God have come to pass. So, it is time, once again, to hear God clearly for the next steps we are to take. This is especially important as I am now full-time with Ralph Howe Ministries and no longer working weekly within a local church situation. So, it is time to take this ministry "to the next level" and I believe God will speak clearly to this situation while I am participating in this, my first, apostolic roundtable.

Valeriy Grib - Youth PastorUpon my return I will have 7 days to prepare for my next trip to Ukraine. There I will be ministering at The Word of Revival Church in Kirovograd both in their Sunday morning service as well as to a leaders meeting later in the day. Then on to the far southern corner of Ukraine to a ten day youth camp organized by a young youth pastor named Valery who is supported by my home church. He leads between 10 to 20 young people to the Lord weekly and is quickly becoming known internationally in the Russian speaking world for his work with the youth. He has gathered a hundred or so of his young believers and almost as many non-believers together for a ten day camp at which I will be speaking and ministering prophetically.

Valeriy and Dima We end the trip ministering for almost two days at The Father's Blessing Church in Krasnoarmeysk where again my local congregation has for many years supported a great work being done by Dima Leo and Valery Grib. We will minister twice on the Sunday before heading back to Kiev and flying home. My team throughout the trip will consist of Darryl Snyder (one of our leaders in my local church) and Miroslav Bertran (pictured at the top) who is my administrator and personal assistant for my Eastern European ministry and the manager of our office there. He also functions as my interpreter. His wife Elena will also be with us and will help both with the teaching and the translation. All three of these men - Dima, Valery and Miroslav - are also apostles-in-training and so this will be a tremendous three weeks as we build our relationships and do further mentoring and equipping to bring them into the fullness of their own calling.

We return near the end of August with plans for a trip to Moscow, Russia in early October, Kazakhstan in early November, Caucuses in January and Ukraine in February, 2010. God is truly giving us opportunity to impact the world as He lays apostolic foundations upon which to build a new type of Church that will literally win nations to the Lord. We are excited with the small part that He is allowing Ralph Howe Ministries to play in this worldwide move among the youth of today. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. You are truly an encouragement to us. May God bless you and, please, take time to read and enjoy this edition of our e-newsletter.
The Church As It Is and As It Should Be - Part 2
gbm_news-bgWhen one looks today at the Church of Jesus Christ and examines its life and structure what you observe actually has little resemblance to the early Church in the book of Acts. I believe today's Church falls far short of what is set out for us in the New Testament as normative to the Church of Jesus Christ.

So I would like to continue to set out some of the differences that, in my mind, become obvious when youlovingly look at the Church as it is today and as it should be.

Last issue of this e-newsletter we looked at 4 issues:

1> We have a church that is organizational and structures where the Lord wants an organism that has life.
2> Today we see pastors as leaders of the Church where biblically it was a five-fold team with apostles and prophets leading.
3> The early Church was prophetic - today's Church is pastoral
4> In the Church today life principles are taught - in the early church life was released through the teaching of the Word.

Moving on from there and really in no particular order (you can read the full article on the web site as we achieve all e-newsletter articles there)...

5> Today we see a somewhat complacent and comfortable Church as compared to one that lived in radical obedience to the Word of the Lord.

Prophetic Insights ... By Ralph Howe
gbm_news-bgStop Trying to Be Relevant - Be Supernatural

"How is the Church to respond to a postmodern, post-Christian culture that discounts the church as irrelevant, yet seeks spiritual connection, that is intrigued with Jesus, but doesn't really know Him?" Good question and one that I have been thinking about since I first read it a few weeks ago in a book I was working my way through. It is a question that deserves some thought.

We live in a culture (if not world) where the young generation has no "Christian memory" and so do not have any common ground from which we can lead them into a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. They do not own a Bible, may have never seen one and most certainly have never read it. They have never been inside a church - in their generation funerals are done from funeral homes (if at all) and weddings are done outside or in some catering hall, again, if at all, as living common law is now simply acceptable. They don't think of the Church when making decisions about life and have created their own set of ethics and philosophy of life not even loosely based on Bible standards as set forth by God. To them there are no absolutes (like the Ten Commandments) and they have literally created a god of their own imagination. When you present the Gospel to them (especially if you use Christianeze) it is as if you have stepped off another planet.

The older generation have traditional views, are set in their ways and beliefs, mired in lifeless tradition that no longer has meaning if it ever did and many have been deeply wounded by the Church and have not found it in their heart to forgive and be reconciled. Present the Gospel to them and you are telling them that most of what they have been taught, believed, and built their lives on - tradition, man-made rules, religion, unforgiveness and bitterness - is not worth anything and needs to be discarded to receive the true Jesus Christ. This too is offensive.

So, how do we become relevant? Wrong question.
We should stop trying to be relevant and simply be what God called us to be. Supernatural!

We need to understand that the traditional "good works" of being nice neighbours and helping old men like me across the street will not bring people to Christ. We need to be more than "contagious Christians" and do more than "walk across the room". We need to do what Jesus has left us here to do - be His witnesses using the power we received through the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We need to move in supernatural power and bring healing and deliverance to an individual, family or situation and then, when you have their attention, present the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the power of God unto salvation.
Apostolic Annotations
"The Church needs to be less concerned with being acceptable or even relevant and more concerned and focused on being the true Church of Jesus Christ witnessing to society by proclaiming the Gospel both in words and in deeds - with miracles, signs and wonders by the power of the Spirit - so that we faithfully proclaim the full  Gospel and become the supernatural ambassadors of the Kingdom in the foreign nation in which you have been placed by God's sovereignty."

Take a Mulligan

In a casual round of golf, a "mulligan" is a do-over or a "grace note" in an otherwise unforgiving game. Would it not be great to be able to declare a mulligan in the daily affairs of life? In this teaching you'll learn that you CAN take a mulligan in your relationship with God for He truly is the God of the second chance. Watch and listen to Ralph in this life-changing video as he extracts the spiritual truths from the Bible story of Jesus walking on the beach after His resurrection. Seeing His apostles back fishing for a living, He calls out to them asking about their catch. They didn't have anything to report - the nets were empty after a hard night's labor. Jesus the carpenter tells these seasoned fishermen to try again - He gave them permission to have a second chance, and the catch almost sank the two boats. This revelation from God's Word will forever change the way you view the Lord and the way you walk with Him on a daily basis.

Great Reading:
Understanding Prophetic People

By R. Loren Sanford

A great book for those called into the prophetic ministry or to the role and office of a prophet - full-time or part-time. Also a great resource manual for those called to minister to those who are prophetic.
He starts with the basics and talks about the foundational issues in the life and ministry of a prophetic person.

In Part Two he deals with "Hearing God" and includes a neat chapter on 'meditation'.

In Part Three he then goes into the training of the prophetic person and the prophet as well as discussing the placement of the prophet or prophetic person.

An African Christian Leader Looks At The Church Here
From a Current E-Newsletter from ATM in the USA

Ralph has met and talked with the Kenyan man who wrote this article while in USA this week and he is a genuine man of God with a heart for God's bride, the Church.

There is widespread talk in media houses, Christian institutions, and the general public about the deterioration of Christianity in America. America, many lament, has ceased to be a Judeo-Christian nation and Americans become less and less a Church going people. There is also a lot of ongoing criticism, especially among Third World Christians, against the Church in America, as having departed from God and the faith and compromised the faith by, for example, accepting and ordaining gay ministers, condoning the practice of abortion, and taking marriage and divorce as a light matter, etc. Many surveys have been taken, most of which have given shocking indications that American Christianity is on the decline. One recent survey, the American Religious Identification Survey published last year, showed that all was not well in America's religious life.

Taught live before a group of leaders in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada this powerful teaching will both encourage you and equip you to move forward from receiving a prophetic word to actually seeing every detail of it come to pass in your life and ministry. This two CD set will help you to discover how you can turn prophetic disappointments and failures into stunning prophetic successes. You simply need to learn what God expects of you after you receive a Word of the Lord and what you should be doing to cooperate with the spoken Word to see it come to pass in your life.
