Ralph Howe Ministries An Apostolic Approach
Ralph Howe Ministries
As you read this I will be ministering for a week in southern Manitoba (a region or province of my nation). Each night there is a worship service where I am teaching God's Word (always a thrill) and ministering prophetically. My days are being spent rising early and spending almost all day seeking God. In these young and formative stages of this ministry I need to hear God clearly as He directs the many aspects of this growing world-wide ministry. As well, I enjoy my times of intimacy with the Lord and seriously believe that all ministry arises out of this relationship.

Later this month (July 25 to 29) I will be in Ohio. I was recently invited to attend an apostolic roundtable discussion which starts on the Sunday evening and goes through to Tuesday evening. A number of apostles from across the United States are meeting to seek God and hear what He is saying to His Church. I am honored to be a part of this gathering and will report back in an end of July edition of the e-newsletter being issued just before I fly to Ukraine for 18 days starting the 6th of August.

During this trip to Ukraine I will be ministering in local churches on the Sundays and at a ten day multi-national youth camp. Between preparation or the camp, travel time, ministry and then jet lag and some time to rest upon my return ... most of the month will quickly vanish.

It is good to be back publishing our e-newsletter "The Apostolic Approach" on a regular basis (about every three weeks) and I look forward to talking with you again during the last week in July.

Your prayers, as always, are greatly appreciated.
The Church As It Is And As It Should Be (Part One)
gbm_news-bgWhen one looks today at the Church of Jesus Christ and examines its life and structure what you observe actually has little resemblance to the early Church in the book of Acts. I believe today's Church falls far short of what is set out for us in the New Testament as normative to the Church of Jesus Christ. I believe it does not express the heart of God nor His original intentions.

So I would like to set out some of the differences that, in my mind, become obvious when you lovingly look at the Church as it is today and as it should be. And, I do so as someone who has been preaching for 41 years and who has pastored for 37 of those years. I also do so as someone who now ministers full-time trans-locally as an apostle to the local church. The Church has been central to my life and ministry for many decades and so, as one who loves the Church, I want to speak into the life of this precious group of believers worldwide. This is the first in a summer series of articles you won't want to miss.

1> We have a church that is organizational and structured where the Lord wants an organism that has life.

Don't get me wrong. Even an organism needs some structure. But, only structure that encourages and maintains life. When a child is conceived in the mother's womb there is no visible structure. Just life. Then as this life grows structure appears - hands, feet, legs, a head. The structure that appears is the structure that is needed to maintain and encourage life. Its purpose is to release life and enable the body to grow. When a structure that once was vital to this life flow no longer enables life then it is removed as it is no longer necessary. In fact, it is dangerous to the very life it once encouraged and supported. The umbilical cord is a great example of this fact.  It has fed this life for 9 months-but now it is no longer needed and is, in fact, now hazardous to life itself.

Today there is often organization and structure that hinders and does not encourage the flow of life - God's life and the life and health of the body or local church. It may once have been beneficial but it no longer is. This organizational structure needs to be removed so that true life may spring forth and the organism known as the Church can once again become healthy. And, remember, a healthy body is capable of reproducing itself.

Prophetic Insights ... By Ralph Howe
gbm_news-bgIT IS TIME - IT IS TIME
There are a number of observations that I would like to make about the ministry of the prophetic in the Church today. These are general observations about the gift of prophecy and the calling of the prophet and not meant to focus on one particular individual or one stream of the prophetic ministry. I have noticed that those who minister prophetically - on all levels from prophesying when the Spirit of prophecy moves during worship up to and including the five-fold ministry calling of prophet ...

1> Are often not submitted to those who are in authority within the local church. They seem to sense that the gift or the calling grants them permission to speak and minister even in situations where the gifts are not practiced either because of a theological understanding that does not support the gifts in the church today or the leaders have not granted permission for the gifts to flow. This also includes ministering prophetically in a worship service when a person's gift has yet to be recognized and released; prophesying simply because they have a Word of the Lord (which somehow supposedly gives them the right to usurp God-given authority in the local body).

2> This often leads to a lack of accountability for the words spoken. This is not just a local church problem as many regional and national prophetic voices apparently are never held accountable for words they have given that did not come to pass during the time spoken of. Often there are known accountability structures in place but those issuing the words do not heed any concerns expressed by them. And, as a result, no public apology is ever issued when a prophecy from a local, national orinternational prophetic voice gives a word that does not come to pass.

Apostolic Annotations
"It is time for established five-fold ministers of the Gospel to train up and mentor into maturity those with five-fold ministry callings thus reproducing themselves in the next generation and functioning as spiritual fathers in the Church. It is time to take this important aspect of five-fold ministry seriously and begin now to disciple, train, equip, and release those who have the identical call upon their lives that you do - thus building a lasting legacy for your ministry and actually fulfilling the call that is upon your own life. Time for "Paul" to find his "Timothy" and begin to share his whole life and ministry with those who desperately need a spiritual father.

Apostles and Prophets The Foundation of The Church
By C. Peter Wagner

gbm_news-bg

"[The household of God has been] built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone" (Eph. 2:20). Jesus revealed Himself to be the cornerstone of the Church; but He has built His Church-and continues to build it-through apostles and prophets, men and women who are empowered by the Holy Spirit for this purpose. C. Peter Wagner, who has studied the restoration of apostles and prophets to the Church in recent years, now takes a closer look at how the people called to these crucial roles are meant to function in order to fulffill their divine purpose.

Spending a week in Manitoba (a region of Canada) sharing God's Word - both by preaching as well as by giving prophetic words. The anointing is definitely here for the prophetic gifting to function and do so powerfully. It started strong tonight and I expect it will grow as we move through the seven days together.
The front row on one side was filled with seven or eight young people. Great kids. Interacted with me as I preached - worked along with me in my questions and answers and other areas of the teaching that were interactive. Good group. Have one sharing the gospel tomorrow night from the front. Also ministered prophetically to a young person who is going to a YWAM outreach in the country of Panama starting tomorrow. I brought three others up and released them to minister prophetically to him and then I ended the small ministry session by prophetically speaking into his life.

This 2 CD set  "How to Re-supernaturalize Your Life - Five Easy Steps" was first taught at a Leadership Day held by Life Builders Network, an apostolic-prophetic network of churches and ministries in Canada. It was well received and was seriously life-changing.  It has since been taught in numerous nations around the world and continues to bless and transform all believers who take seriously the timely message of this anointed teaching. Most believers are not living the abundant life that Jesus promised to all who follow Him. Learn how to go from a de-supernaturalized life to a re-supernaturalized life in five easy steps!
