| Greetings!
|
We are in the midst of preparing for an extended trip to Ukraine. The trip begins on the 10th of February with flights to with flights to Toronto, Frankfurt and Kiev. My team and I will be ministering in the city of Boyorka from the 12th to the 18th of February building on what we taught and what was accomplished by the Lord during our November visit. The team will then travel 12 hours by car to the city of Krasnoarmeysk where they will minister to an "All Ukrainian Youth Conference" on the Friday and Saturday (February 20th and 21st). On the Sunday they will minister at the Sunday service for "Father's Blessing Church" in the same city followed by a prophetic school from Monday to Thursday as a follow-up to what was accomplished on our trip in November.
Then a drive to the city of Dnipropetrovsk (a million people) where we minister the Friday evening we arrive, three services (a normal day) on Saturday and then Sunday. This is our first time ministering in this city although we have driven through it previously. On the Monday, a 10 hour car ride to Kiev, a night's rest, and then boarding three flights to bring us home (we hope - our last trip took us much longer due to weather issues). We plan to arrive home on March 3rd, 2009.
We would greatly appreciate your prayers for this major trip for this young ministry. Our team is in place, finances are all accounted for (we pay cash upfront for all our mission trips), teachings are coming together slowly, and our level of anticipation about what the Lord will accomplish is growing daily. We are seriously expectant!
Meanwhile we have added another staff member here at Ralph Howe Ministries. Due to our work in Russian speaking nations (and thus the need to communicate) we have brought an interpreter on staff. Now anyone can write to us in the Russian language, their email is translated and sent to me. I read an English version, respond in English and send it back to our interpreter. My response is then interpreted into Russian and forwarded to the person. When I'm in my office and my interpreter is in their office - this takes less than 24 hours. Again, we are thankful to those who support this ministry as their kind gifts have enabled us to bring this person onto part-time staff.
As I travel overseas we have discovered that my laptop computer and Blackberry do not connect to their signal systems there. So, during our last trip we were 100% out of touch. This trip I will be purchasing a cell phone (or Blackberry) in Kiev with a Ukrainian phone number so that we can keep in touch with family members and the home office. We hope this will also speed up the posting of our ministry blogs which, at this point, are posted upon our return due to our previous inability to connect electronically between two systems. If you see blogs about our Ukraine visit popping up daily from the 10th of February to the 3rd of March you will know we have been successful.
Enjoy this edition of our e-newsletter. There are many great articles and other resources to encourage you in your walk with the Lord at the start of 2009. Blessings to you and your ministry in this new year of the Lord.

This 4-cd set is a "MUST-HAVE" for the serious student of scripture. In this four part teaching Ralph brings a fresh revelation of what the
Lord is currently doing in and through His Church as apostles and
prophets minister to God's people and as God's people begin to walk in
their prophetic destiny. As well, he describes in detail the form of
attacks each of these spirits will launch against believers and
churches and how to defeat this onslaught of the Devil

APOSTLES and Local Church Eldership
|
The Church is called to be apostolic in nature. That means it is built
upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20) and
that the church has the fullness of the five-fold ascension gifts
(Ephesians 4:11) functioning locally. God desires every local church to
have all five ministries (callings, roles) functioning in a healthy
local assembly. And, to have other trans-local five-fold ministries
come in to minister as well. This keeps the local church from becoming
isolated.

Prophetic Insights ... By Ralph Howe

Part of My Prophetic Sense for 2009
As we begin 2009 - the year of the Lord - I am reminded that it is "in
Him that we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28); that He is
"the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega" (Revelation 1:8).
So, everything we do in this new year must start and end in Him and
with Him. We are to start a new year "in Him" and with "Christ in us"
and we are called and chosen to walk each day of this new year the same
way. Because of this, the good work He has begun in us He will bring it
to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Apostolic Annotations
|
"The main function of the Church of Jesus Christ is to seek and save the lost at
all costs. This is the call upon all churches building apostolically. This call
must be THE focus of the Church and be front-and-center in all aspects of the
life of the local church regardless."

Apostolic Intervention
By Dr. Elizabeth Hairston

What is the gift of Apostle? Are you looking for a biblical and modern
day understanding? How does that gift operate in the Body of Christ?
Apostle Hairston's book, Apostolic Intervention (A Biblical and
Contemporary Overview of the Apostolic Impact Upon European, Ancient
and American Cities), reveals the work of an Apostle beginning in the
Old Testament and journeying through the New Testament and into the
21st Century, and describes non-biblical pioneers who operated with
Apostle-like characteristics.

The Same Old Same Old
I am amazed at the approach of a lot of believers
to the Word of God. The Bible is God's Word declared and revealed to
humankind. It is a detailed record of the interaction of God with His
people from the creation of man through to the end of the world as we
know it and the permanent establishment of His Kingdom upon planet
Earth. It shows us God's heart toward His creation - especially towards
us as individuals. It is alive, active, living ... always speaking
directly to each and every situation in which we find ourselves. It is
the foundation for life lived in a way that pleases God and so is the
rock upon which we are to build our lives. It is Truth and so keeps us
from falling into error and falsehood (which is a good thing).
Yet, many believers seldom read it and fewer still study or meditate upon it
(all of which God tells us we should be doing). God says that "man does
not live by (physical) bread alone but by every word (spiritual bread)
that (continuously) proceeds from the mouth of God." So, we need to be
feeding our spirit daily on this heavenly manna so that we keep our
spiritual strength and insight functioning in peak form. Every day we
need to be reading and heeding God's Word so that it can also transform
us by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).
Then, as we hear things, we have a grid through which to check out the "truth" we are hearing.
Otherwise we will be easily deceived and tossed about by every wind of
doctrine and human cunning and deceitful schemes.
