| Greetings!
|
Welcome to our 20th edition of the e-newsletter for this ministry. It is hard to believe that we have been on line for almost a year. Much has happened since our small and modest beginnings and many lives and churches have been dramatically touched by God as we have faithfully taught, prayed, and ministered prophetically.
We hope you find this edition of our e-newsletter beneficial to your spiritual walk. There is much food for thought in the current article on apostles and their ministry today in the local church. Our prophetic insight is always timely and speaks to the heart of issues now surfacing and being dealt with both in the Church and in society in general. Again, another new book is reviewed and offered through our bookstore - along with a number of teaching CDs and MP3s.
Why such an emphasis on learning and growing? Because God's Word states: "As we know Jesus better His divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life." (2 Peter 1:3a The Message Version). It is our hope that the content of our twice monthly e-newsletter helps you in some way to come to know Jesus better.
We are excited to announce that our weekly radio program (yet without a name) will begin airing on Sunday the 14th of September at 6:30 p.m. You can listen on-line at www.1005therock.ca If you live in the Yorkton, Saskatchewan area you can pick it up at 100.5 on the fm dial as The Rock is located in your great city. By June, 2009 we hope to be on air five days a week with a weekend "special edition" which would broadcast Saturday and repeat on Sunday each weekend. All expenses and costs for this new venture of a weekly half hour broadcast have been met and all airtime until May, 2009 has been paid for in full. God is good!
On the main page of our web site you will find a new link to a video-taped interview I was involved in. It was first broadcast on Shaw Cable Network in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. Taped after I preached and ministered at a local Church in this southern town - we hope you enjoy it and find it informative. The pastor of The Oasis of Love Church is the person doing the interview. His name is Marlin Juell. This young man also has a call to train for and be released into apostolic ministry and he has a tremendous heart for the Lord and His people.
As always, your feedback and comments are welcomed. You can e-mail me at Ralph@ralphhoweministries or call me at 1-877-615-6470, Extension 701. I am usually in my office between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (9:00 to 1:00 p.m. Central Mountain Time and 8:00 to noon Pacific Time) unless on the road ministering. I look forward to hearing from you.

Apostles Are Wise Master Builders
|
Paul writes: "(The Church is) built on the foundation of the apostles and
prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone." Ephesians 2:20
The word "build" means to construct, to assemble, to join together, to
mold, to form, to create, and to erect - by following a master design
or a blueprint. And, it is good to recognize that the most important
part of that building process is the foundation. As I am fond of
saying: "You can't build a skyscraper on a chicken coop foundation."

Time to Change What You Are Preaching
It is amazing what is being preached and proclaimed from the pulpit
these days in North America - at least the ones I am aware of or in
touch with on a regular basis. It is not greatly different in other
nations where I either work (Ukraine) or have contacts. Afterall, they
are all trying to be so much like their North American brothers and
sisters in the Lord. They look at our prosperity, our buildings, our
technology and the many other blessings that we enjoy and desire to see
the same situation arise in their nations.

Apostolic Annotations
|
"The early Church taught on and witnessed to the resurrection of Jesus from the dead and the Kingdom of the Resurrected King. Today we teach on many things but seldom is heard a sermon on the physical resurrection of Jesus from the dead or His Kingdom. Maybe it is time for the Church to preach and teach on what it is that is unique to our faith and thus impact our culture and society as the early Church did their world, turning it upside down."

Great Reading:

A 20th Century Apostle By Steve Thompson

Alfred G. Garr was a man hungry for the living God. He simply couldn't
settle for the false comforts of tradition and religion. Although,
until now, his story hasn't been widely known, he had a tremendous
influence.
For example, without him Azusa Street might not have happened.
According to this book, before Garr came into the picture, God was
moving at Azusa Street but only about a dozen people were being
impacted. Although Garr was already a successful revivalist and
evangelist who moved in the power of God, he recognized there was more
available in God.

Spiritual Junk Food #3
It is amazing what we eat spiritually. What is more amazing is that with the steady diet of spiritual junk food - it is amazing we are still spiritually alive.
Here is #3 you will hear - and I could name two or three very popular supposedly born again preachers on television who proclaim this junk food. Ready-
Junk Food: It is not necessary to deal with your sin; just think positive thoughts about yourself and others. Don't worry, be happy.
Remember that song of 15 years ago?

Book Reviews

A 20th Century Apostle By: Steve Thompson
I
This is an excellent book on the life and times of a man who is not
well known today in Christian circles. Alfred Garr was a 20th Century
Apostle who, through a long personal struggle, found spiritual
authority and power in His God and walked in the authority and power
for many years of fruitful ministry.
Written by Steve Thompson - a prophet within the MorningStar Fellowship
of Churches (Rick Joyner's group) - this is an excellent read.
