Ralph Howe Ministries
Greetings!
Ralph HoweI have been walking with the Lord for over 31 years and have been devouring His Word - the Bible - since the very first day after my salvation experience. It goes with me everywhere I go - on the streets witnessing, in the car, hotel rooms, coffee shops, the bathroom and the pulpit. I teach, on average, seven to ten times a week so I am in the Word studying and researching on future teaching topics on a daily basis. But, first and foremost, I am in the Word daily to feed my own spirit on the written Word. My own personal walk with the Lord and the intimacy I share with the Holy Spirit through the Word must always be foundational to my teaching and prophetic ministry.

In my reading and meditating recently I came across a comment by the elderly apostle John that I must admit had never caught my attention before. In 3 John 3 he writes about Gaius and states that "the brothers came (back) and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth."

Gaius walked in the truth because he had first taken the time to get the truth into his heart (spirit) and soul. Then, as God's Word became predominate in his thinking he began to exhibit the fruit of that Word in his daily life. As his spirit man became stronger and stronger it began to control his soul (mind, will, emotions) and controlled his thoughts, words, and deeds.

Not a new truth because, as most of us know, the Bible states that "as a man thinks, so is he" and thus it is important to not be "conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". Gaius had taken the time to deposit the truth within his heart and it was becoming evident to everyone who saw him that he was a believer. He fed his spirit the Word and so John could write that Gaius' soul was prospering. In the ESV it states: "as it goes well with your soul". A great testimony.

I pray that today things are 'well with your soul' and that you are continuing to read, mark, and inwardly digest God's Word; meditating on it daily so that you will be blessed (Psalm 1) and thus be a blessing. As you read about the ministry of the apostle in today's Church and marketplace may the foundational teachings (Acts 2:42) in this e-newsletter (and previous teachings available in our archives) go deep into your spirit-man. As you think about the content of the prophetic insight that I share with you today may you hear the voice of God clearly speaking to you.

Prophetic Insights ... By Ralph Howe
Back To The Basics - Back To ActsBack To The Basics - Back To Acts

I believe the  Lord is taking His Church back to the basics. Then once we are back at the basics we can go back to Acts. We have been majoring on the minors and chasing the latest and the greatest - personality, revelation, ministry, gifting, church, or book. And often none of these things make us better followers of Jesus. And, as believers these things we chase after have not helped us to be a good witness for the Lord nor have they helped us to win the lost.

Apostles Prophets and Pastors
Apostles Prophets and Pastors
The enemy is the author of confusion and division. If he can keep the leaders in the Church divided, they will not minister effectively. In the last edition of this newsletter (see archives) we addressed the potential problem of apostles and prophets thinking too highly of themselves. However, since pastors usually have the oversight of local churches and assemblies, there is a need for understanding and unity between apostles, prophets, and pastors as well.

Apostolic Reformation: The Equipping Dimension of the Apostolic

For centuries the Church of Jesus Christ has been using quite a bit of strength while working with a dull axe (sword, Word of God, revelation), in trying to get the job done. This has been largely due to the fact that she has been functioning without Blacksmiths (Apostles), the ones who have been graced and anointed by the Lord, with the grace and ability to sharpen.
