| Greetings!
|
Is it old age or is time really going by faster these days? Once again, another edition of our e-newsletter. Maybe time is not going faster - maybe I am simply moving slower.
I am usually very time conscious but recently more so as this month one of the Churches I planted, the one I happen to continue to pastor, is entering her 28th year of Spirit-filled ministry. And just a week ago I celebrated the 31st anniversary of the night I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Seems just like yesterday.
It has been an exciting adventure. It always is when we partner with the Holy Spirit - listening and then obeying what we hear. It continues to be an exciting adventure. Never dull and with many opportunities to stretch and to grow.
In this edition of our e-newsletter you will find a number of articles that will help you to grow and that might just stretch your understanding of what the Holy Spirit is currently doing in the Church. There is a new installment of the continuing series of teachings on apostles and the apostolic ministry - cutting edge Kingdom stuff. If you have missed previous editions they are archived for your consideration and convenience.
This edition of the newsletter contains a new prophetic insight or "now Word" from the Lord to His Church for today. With the many prophetic voices today I ask that you would consider carefully and prayerfully what we are presenting as a Word from the Lord for His Church and see what He would have you do with it. I believe the Lord is calling His Church today to become what it was created to be and then to do what He has commanded us to do. Challenging and requiring courage!
Time is moving quickly and the Lord has much for us to accomplish as truths about the five-fold ministry of apostles are restored and this ministry is released. Read, enjoy, apply - and if you have a comment or two, e-mail me at ralph@ralphhoweministries.com. Always good to hear from my friends and partners.
Blessings!

Prophetic Insights ... By Ralph Howe

Go Forward
When Israel was leaving Egypt under the ministry of Moses they came to
the Red Sea and camped. Shortly afterwards with the Red Sea in front of
them, mountains on both sides, and Pharaoh with his army coming up from
behind them they began to lose faith and worry. And, of course, they
began to complain.
Moses speaks to them and tells them to "stand firm". He is telling them
to have faith in their God who has just, with a series of miracles,
freed them from slavery in Egypt. He also tells them to "be still"
which meant to have inner peace and not to worry or be anxious. This
when they were likely experiencing great fear and total panic.

How The Offices Work Together
|
Since apostles and prophets are foundational to the Church, it is
imperative that we know how these two offices work together. An
illustration or two may help us to understand.
The illustration of cement and water
When making concrete for sidewalks and buildings, powered cement and
water are used. Once the cement and water are combined, it is ready to
be poured to form pavement and building foundations. Likewise, apostles
and prophets work together to form the foundation of the Church. The
apostolic ministry can be compared to the powdered cement, while
prophetic ministry is comparable to the water.
