I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
- Isaiah 43:19
|
There's a great line in one of old cherished hymns that says, "Ponder anew what the Almighty can do." What an excellent invitation! Not only to remember what the Lord Jesus has done in getting us this far, but also, with eager anticipation, pondering what He is able and willing to do in the future.
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. - Isaiah 43:19
And so we come to the fourth line of our beloved verse...
"I will create rivers in the dry wasteland."
Every time I read this part of the verse I think of people getting saved. Look again...
"I will create rivers in the dry wasteland."
It's especially significant to me this morning, because at Men's Prayer yesterday a man gave his life to Jesus Christ and it was glorious!!! The friend that brought him was
faithful to ask a simple question about his eternal destiny and we all watched as
he wrestled with the implications of his honest answer and then finally his
desire to receive the Lord and surrender his life to God.
How awesome!!! At 6:50am, in the meeting room of a Caribou Coffee, someone passed from death to life and was made absolutely brand new in Jesus Christ. So cool!!!
"Ponder anew what the Almighty can do..."
